Under windows, my SD Card works fine, but if I use my Android tab or chromebook to copy files, there is a bunch of junk files and I can't write any files. Also, my android tablet made a bunch of default android folders, but I can't make any manually. Astro File manager detects nothing, and File Manager HD has the junk files from my chromebook.

Is it exfat or fat32?

Edit:
What versions?
Fat32 and what versions of what. I was able to use root privileges on my android to make folders on the sd card. I'm trying to copy a rom now, but the software is being really annoying.

In Android 4.4 they changed the way SD cards work (hence the root issue), but certain apps such as ES File Explorer seemed to get around it by causing the 'random' files to appear.

Android 5+ created an alternative method which involved giving permission to the app.
