Ok so I installed haxchi, made it boot automatically then created rednand. Everything was working great. I used rednand due to the possibility of my kids formating the hard drive (its happened before).

Last night i was messing with the sdcard and noticed that some of my sd card was unallocated space (32 gb lol). So I repartioned it and gained 32gb. Unfortunately I then tried it in the wiiu.

So my question is How do I

A: get rednand back on, I do have my SLCFUl.img and the other 2 files and Haxchi is still trying to load the rednand.

I was planning on trying to use this tutorial

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-setup-custom-firmware-w-sigpatches.446818/

or

B: totally uninstall rednand and go with Sigpatched sysNAND CFW - CBHX

I prefer to go with rednand so there is no way of bricking.

Edit

Ok so I also found this topic

https://gbatemp.net/threads/what-is-haxchi-or-cbhc-faqs-and-info.453729/

Which explains to delete CBHX I just run the installer again. But I expect that i do not need to mess with the CBHX and just simply do the work to rebuild rednand. Is my system now completely rednand free?

Please help!

Jesus fuck, no!
NO, NO AND NO! DON'T TOUCH OR REINSTALL CBHC.

Don't use redNAND. redNAND means data loss and wasn't INTENDED TO PLAY GAMES. IT WAS INTENDED TO BE DEVELOPER's "condom" or "safety-net" so they can TEST their newly developer homebrew.
If you have CBHC, press Home button while Autobooting... message appears and change it to Autoboot: sysmenu. You killed redNAND partition, good. Now stick to sysNAND.

Rednand is unstable and outdated and is actually easier to brick than it is to do with sysnand CFW. Unlike rednand on 3ds the wiiu rednand is only of use to devs. The only way to brick sysnand on the WiiU is to delete the 3ds game used for coldboot haxchi or to delete system files using ftpiiu everywhere. Put prenatal controls on and then the kids won't be able to get into the sys settings to deletebor format anything.

Woops yes phone for some reason autocorrected ds to 3ds I hate this bloody phone lol. It got me in trouble once when I sent a message to my wife's friend and it changed what I was saying into something totally different lol and the wife never believed it was the autocorrect and her friend won't even talk to me.

Turn it off. In Android you can do it easily by visiting Settings>Keyboard & Input>Keyboard (AOSP) and clicking that gear icon. Turn off word prediction and autocorrect.

If I was better at prenatal controls I wouldn't have kids.

OK so I think I understand everyone wants me to get rid of Rednand.

How do I get rid of Rednand, I currently have the wii u booting to system menu, but some files no longer work, mostly wii ware. Am I in the default system nanda or am I protected?

Look at my guide. It's in my signature and stickied in the forum. It has a flow chart to help you understand how to do it.

You can easily get rid of redNAND by reformatting your SD card. Copy the data off of it first. Then format the entire SD with guiformat (link is in the guide in the pre setup steps). After formatting the whole SD to fat32 copy your data back. redNAND gone.

Then look through my guide and see how you want to set up your Wii U. There are steps for all CFW's. Just make sure you don't do something stupid like remove the HaxChi that CBHC uses or format your Wii U without first removing CBHC and for the love of all things holy, DO NOT SKIP STEP 3

OK thanks for all of yalls help. But I still have another question. If I already have cbhc, then what am I doing? Do I just do an upgrade on it? When I choose to go to system menu from cbhc list is that standard system menu or is that a cdw? According to your guide, you install haxchi and then install cbhc.

Thanks

You install Haxchi to check if it works 100% then CBHC.
You already have CBHC so ignore Haxchi.
sysmenu is a CBHC CFW. If you go to System Settings you will see that your FW is "99.99.99U/E/J"

Thank you all, I think I'm on my way to getting everything 100%. I just have to reinstall updates, dlc, shop, and maybe a couple titles that say that the nin has been deleted.
