You did it!!! Them glasses, wow, gotta get me a pair of those Quantumcat "smart" glasses man... Hehhee it's updating as I write with the "Poochy" ROM ! ! !

I wanna learn all I can do with this 3DS Console!!! Is there a link (thread) you can point me to so I can start reading about how to play all the new stuff and online games like everybody's doing?

Thank you sooooo much bro!!! Really appreciate it!!! My daughter Aleia will be more than thrilled to find out she can play "Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World"!!!
Sure - if you want to be able to install games on your console, and not have to worry about updating then do the following.
  • If you have save files on your Gateway games that you care about, follow https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/ enough to get them backed up with JKSM. In order to get JKSM on your console, do this: get FBI.3ds from https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases (it is in the zip archive) and put it on your Gateway mSD. Get JKSM.cia from https://github.com/J-D-K/JKSM/releases and put it on your SD card inside your console. Use FBI.3ds to install JKSM.cia (in FBI, go to SD then scroll down with the D-pad to select JKSM.cia, press A to install). This should let you follow the above guide.
  • Copy the JKSM folder from your SD card to your computer for safe-keeping (leave it on your SD card too)
  • Follow https://3ds.guide from the beginning (on your sysNAND, without being in Gateway mode). Also follow the optional Move emuNAND section.
  • The following (blue) is optional but I think better, or instead of the blue, do the pink below it. (Or you can do both)
  • Install freeShop, by opening FBI (you'll get it from the above guide), going to Network install, then QR code install, then scanning the QR code in this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-arc13s-freeshop-fork-open-source-eshop-alternative.468436/
  • Visit a site that you can find on Google by searching for 3ds titlekeys (it will end in .gq) on your computer
  • Click the button that looks like a little QR code (it's a green button attached to a larger orange button). A big QR code will fill the screen. Leave it for a moment.
  • Open freeShop, then tap the Settings button (little cog) on the bottom screen, then the Updates tab.
  • Tap the little button that looks like a QR code on the left on the touch screen. A camera opens. Scan the QR code on your computer screen.
  • Press Start - freeShop will close
  • Open it again, and download any games you and to play (search using the magnifying glass button, tap X to add to your download queue)
  • Alternative to above:
  • Put any .3ds roms that you want to be able to install on your SD card.
  • Open GodMode9 (you'll get it after following 3ds.guide) and convert the roms to cia format. I don't know what the options are to do this so have a read of https://3ds.guide/godmode9-usage.html
  • Open FBI, go to SD, and install them.
  • Use JKSM to import your backed-up save files.
Now you can have all your games installed on your console and keep it updated. Your daughter won't have to do anything special to play games, just boot up and select one to play.

Of course this is all OPTIONAL, there's nothing wrong with keeping your system the way it is!!!!

HOLY CRAPPOLA!!! Hahahha I haven't gotten the glasses yet bro!!!

I'll do all that procedure and reading this weekend! That'd be awesome!

But first, you know I just went to try and play "Poochy" and so I do the "Settings - Profile - Nintendo Profile" move just as always to get the Dragon right? Dragon comes up, so Cool. But then I press "Select" on my console and the little ROM menu doesn't come up on the top screen!

Am I doing something wrong? Or do have to load up the games differently now since I did the whole emuNAND thing?

Update to a later version of Gateway - the 3.7.1 might not support 11.2 (just get another launcher.dat from Gateway's website and replace the one you have).

Ohhhhhh! Got it! I already downloaded the GW 3.7.2-BETA "ULTRA" from their website! Awesome. Gonna go and change just that "Launcher.dat" file!
Thank you again!!! Will keep you posted on my learnings! Goodnight y'all!
