I hacked all three of my systems an o3ds xl, a n3ds xl and a 2ds a few months back shortly after 11.3 was released(all three of my systems were 11.2 or lower so I didn't have to wait about for the 11.3 compatible hack).

All three are currently on 11.3 Luma 6.6, not updated to b9s, what's the method to update luma to 7.05(last a9lh compatible version from what I've read)?

Looking on GitHub version 7.0 wasn't released till April, I hadn't turned on my 2 3ds xls and the 2ds since the switch was released so not updated past 6.6

I will look to upgrading to the latest hack but for now I'm going to upgrade luma and maybe to 11.4

Just in the luma folder on the sd or elsewhere as well?
My search did throw up the arm9loaderhax.bin but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else that was needed to be done
It should be on the root of your SD card. The luma folder is for payloads and the config file.

Replace the arm9loaderhax.bin with (luma v7.05 version) on the SD root. That's all you do, but you won't get further support for a9lh, unless you take 5 mins to update to B9S and use the "firm" versions.

Thanks, after replacing the current .bin file with the one from the new release do I need to do anything else?

Speaking of payloads, with the o3ds xl and 2ds if upgrading them to 11.4 do I need to download a 11.4 or 11.2 and rename it? I seem to recall reading the when 11.4 was initially released, not sure if that's still the case.

If you want to use the homebrew launcher, yes.

Thanks for your help, I found the archived version of the guide for installing a9lh for the settings for the luma configuration. Got it setup on my o3ds xl, going to get it done on the n3ds xl and 2ds.

If you haven't started on some of your consoles, follow the current guide. It is a lot easier - no need to downgrade to 2.1.

I have all three of them hacked back in January/February, I meant I was going to upgrade luma to 7.05 on the other two. Will look to upgrade to b9s at a later date.

How long does the current guide take if starting from scratch if you're on 11.3 or lower? The previous guide took me couple of hours each time, tho did cut the time a bit each time.
Will be looking to hack my nieces n3ds if she hasn't upgraded it to 11.4

Starting from scratch I think it would take about half an hour. The amount the guide has been simplified can't be overstated :-)
