I have my Internet shut off on my 3DS after hearing about the ban wave. I also had the "Do not send info to Nintendo" thing off as well. My system isn't at the latest update so I can't exactly tell if I'm banned or not I think but I did notice one thing. The Activity Log shows every game, legal/backup/not, and homebrew you played such as FBI and NTR as well as the Luma Updater. I wonder if Nintendo can check the log file somehow. There's no real way to delete the data from it so I'm wondering if they could snoop in on this when you're connected online and ban people that have titles such as those show up.

I don't know if I've been banned or not but my send info to Nintendo has always been off so I'm unsure if they could even access the activity Log or not. Is there a way to check if the 3DS sends and receives data from the log somehow? I wonder if this could be the cause of the bans.

I'm not sure if the activity log's being checked or not by nintendo, but most of the things u've pointed out are already being said all over the forum, we are aware that there must be something we're missing, and it might take a while until we know what caused the banns(even tho its a obvious reason, we violated the therms with nintedo, we still don't know for sure what causes bans(i think))

I know you mean well, but we already have shit tons of threads covering this issue.
I suggest checking your friend's list. If you get an error when you are online, then you are most likely banned. If you don't, you are good to go.
I would also like to mention that I have been running tests since the banwave and it seems that Nintendo was really only banning people last week. I know it's early to say, but my system named "Goat," has was banned (then unbanned by me) and running online since Friday. Goat is still unbanned.

I can't check the friend's list because it prompts me to update my 3ds.i haven't done that yet because I haven't updated a9lh to b9s yet nor am I aware if doing so breaks anything since that would be the latest update. That being said, I noticed no one really was bringing up the Activity Log at all and decoded to at least bring that idea into the limelight.

It's actually been brought up a lot and it's even been suggested to clear out the log. I'm sorry, but pretty much every suggestion has been suggested at this point.

Also you should be able to safely update and there are no current issues with updating from A9LH to B9S.

When I read "Goat" I just thought Fallout 3 (Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test) :)

Just FYI, I had the same issue. Update your version of Luma (the one prior to requiring B9S) should allow you to check. Worked for me.

1. Backup NAND
2. Inject it into EmuNAND
3. Try damaging EmuNAND-CTRNAND:/data/ID0/sysdata/00010022/00000000
4. If EmuNAND isn't bricked after damaged it, it's OK to be restored it into SysNAND

According to 3dbrew.org
- 00010022/00000000 is PTM savegame which contains play history
- When opening the archive is failing due to PTM savedata corruption, PTM eventually (during system boot) deletes the savedata then creates it again.

Just tested this on my EmuNAND.
I didn't damage but deleted the 00000000 file.
The EmuNAND got properly booted.
All play histories were successfully deleted.
Confirmed that a new 00000000 file was re-generated by viewing EmuNAND CTRNAND with GM9.

you know,i just learned you can delete certain apps from the activity log any time you want,so you can delete the freeshop and FBI.
however there is empty block that has no pic or name, and can't be deleted,i wonder what is that?
