i installed a9lh last month on my new NNDSXL and had a backup of the original NAND on a USB stick after following the instructions.
After installing the new cfw today, I deleted my old back-up and replaced it with a new on after doing a back-up using godmode9.
Am I in trouble in the future? Is it not impossible for me to return my 3DS to factory firmware?

Flashing your old NAND backup wouldn't have deinstalled A9LH anyway AFAIK
But as Tortellini said, you can uninstall A9LH but nothing has been announced about uninstalling B9S yet :/

You could downgrade or CTRTransfer if you can find one on the factory firmware. Of course there's chance of brick. To answer your questions: 1. no 2. depends on how much brick risk you want to take.
