ROM Hack Braindump not working

Hello, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section but I'm still not familiar with the website.

I recently hacked my 3ds to have Soundhax for 11.3 and am looking to mod FE: Fates. However, I can't braindump my cartridge for some reason. I get the same thing using HANS, and I'd like to figure out why.

Nothing else happens at this screen. I have to reset my 3ds at that point, and I can't figure out why. Is it a compatibility issue or do I need to install something else?

Try redownloading your soundhax payload.

Although, I highly recommend that you install CFW via http://3ds.guide so that you do not have to deal with HANS. Find the game you're trying to get the files of in .cia format from that iso site, then use something like Asia81's PackHack to extract the contents of that CIA. That way, you still get the files you're looking for without the green screen.

I got Soundhax from there and followed the instructions provided by the tutorial. But I can try redownloading it. For the .cia, I would have to extract the contents then put it into my sd card or do something different?

Well what hack for Fates are you wanting to do? I still recommend following that guide to completion though.

Well, to be honest, you don't even need to extract your own files for that. Just follow the guide I mentioned earlier and I'll help you set up NTR to make it easier to use the hack.

Nice 1 month necrobump, but what do you mean? A fix for what?
Edit: just realized what you meant, no i think braindump is dead for newer games. Someone correct me if im wrong

Braindump only results in a green bottom screen whenever I attempt to dump any downloaded game like Pokemon Yellow. Is there a fix for Braindump or is it just incompatible with 11.4? I'm running N3DS 11.4 with Luma 7.0 + a9lh.

Not just for newer games, but for 11.4 in general. Most Homebrew apps need to be updated to support it.

Since you have CFW, just obtain the game in .cia format through either Decrypt9 or GodMode9 and find a method to extract the contents of the .cia.
