Stay on lower FW as much as possible as you can. Only the developer will say you can go ahead or not. We have a 2.57 since 2 years now. And we refused to update it.

i have no clue about accessing the store, don't update the FW past 4.07 is what im hearing.

Unless you want homebrew and cheats, PS3 games are so cheap nowdays it's not even worth the wait. I paid like 5 dollars for Ni No Kuni and 2 dollars for Twisted Metal lol.

In general lower the firmware the better of course. Qwertyoruiop seems to think he can break (or has broken) 4.55 but he might not even release.

several reasons why wouldnt release it to. from what ive seen is hes already pretty much broken 4.50 and has said its possible to be the same on 4.55

I'm still on 4.50 on the main PS4, and have a spare 1.52 fw system sitting new in box... just waiting for some homebrew goodness.

Not really. Install Linux, and do some GTA mods? I think that's about it... nothing I'm really interested in the moment.

Holy crap just realized I misread this is PS4 hax not PS3, which I thought a new exploit has been discovered for.

several reasons why wouldnt release it to. from what ive seen is hes already pretty much broken 4.50 and has said its possible to be the same on 4.55

Personally I doubt he will ever release, but then I'm not too sure why he tweets about it constantly. It's not really "security research" if you never disclose to anyone else. No point disclosing to Sony after they have already patched it.

I'm still wondering this too, I'm on 3.11 but since the exploits were discovered on 4.55 I want to update so I can download some games.
