I remember one year ago watching a video about installing certain files from one console to another so they could use the same "Nintendo 3DS" folder.

The creator of the video said that the biggest advantage of this was that after installing the games on a 3DS, these could be transferred at very high speeds to the other simply by copying the folder.

I tell you this because I am thinking of buying the New 2DS and I want to do the official data transfer from Nintendo and also do this to use the same SD in the 2 consoles (or at least the same Nintendo 3DS folder)

Does anyone know what I have to do exactly?

Thx for all guys!

Nintendo 3DS folders are encrypted to the system itself. You can use something like godmode9 to make CIA's from the games in that folder. But you can't simply copy anything out of that folder and place into another person's Nintendo 3DS folder and have it work.

I remember perfectly how the youtuber showed that the 2 consoles shared the same folder.
The video was erased, but I know who is the youtuber who recorded it, I'll ask him in the afternoon (in Spain right now it's eight in the morning and he's Spanish)

Just because there was a video of something, doesn't mean it's true. Proof, ghost videos
The games in that folder are encrypted to the system that installed them. You can copy them out of the folder and onto another SD card, but other system won't recognize it as a game it installed.

You can, by making a NAND backup of one 3DS, then doing a system transfer to another 3DS, then restoring the NAND backup f the source 3DS. The problem is both can't go online at once (they will both be banned) and you can only use the NNID on the target console, not on the source console (meaning if you ever log into the eShop all your bought games will disappear, and you can't use Badge Arcade, PokeBank, etc).

Actually, when I did this my old system simply refused to go online. I can't remember the error code it gave me, but it simple refused to go online. My new system would go online just fine.
Nonetheless, your post is still correct. Although the OP is talking about taking the Nintendo 3DS folder from one system and simply copying it over to another system.
edit wait a minute
@OP
Do you mean simply doing a system transfer then using the computer method?

All correct answers have been stated, except 1. Installing a new game on 1 console won't let you simply copy the files over. You'd also have to copy ticket.db and title.db every time. And possibly seeddb.

Does sharing the movable.sed not allow sharing Nintendo 3DS folders without these banning problems? There was this thread about that for example https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-0-key-movable-sed-『no-more-cia-installation-』.433356/

Yes, I was looking for something like this, but privately between my 2 consoles and not using a public archive

Exactly what I want is to do a system transfer to pass all my "legal" content. Then install the file that allows me to share the Nintendo 3DS folder to be able to pass all my games installed in an "illegal" way. And after this, I can save my old 3DS knowing that any day can be fully functional just by copying the files from one to the other.

Ok, so do you mean doing a system transfer to a new system, then installing a CFW on the new system?
I just feel like you might be onto something I can help with and you are just misinterpreting a video.

No, I do not want to do this as a way to "hack" a New 2DS (I know it has nothing to do with this), what I want is to have 2 hacked consoles sharing the same encryption for the Nintendo 3DS folder.

You actually can do this, but I don't think you can transfer between the files when you are done.
Suggested before, doing a NAND backup, then a transfer. This will allow you to restore your previous NAND and have the same setup on both systems. But I am not 100% you can copy the Nintendo 3DS folder between each. I could be wrong, so if you do do this, you are more than welcome to prove me wrong.

You can. Remember recently when DSiWare downgrades were the main thing. If you made a mistake and forgot to copy the DSiWare to the SD card when prompted, you could still restore a NAND backup on the source, dump the DSiWare to the SD card, and use that in the target console.

You don't need to use that public file, you can use one of your movable.sed files (probably the one from the 3DS with the most files in Nintendo 3DS so you have less transferring to do). Use Godmode9 and browse to SysnandCTRNAND/private to find it.
But be aware of what @urherenow said. Sharing the movable.sed allows both 3DSes to understand the same Nintendo 3DS folder, but if one of your 3DSes lack a ticket (for example), then it won't see the same games as the other one.

You can. It's just that extra things won't show up unless ticket.db and title.db say that it's there... and of course seeddb for the games that need it, but I don't think those work on 2ds anyway without decrypting and rebuilding them before installing... then it could run on both consoles under cfw.

So which is my best option?
Share the same 'movable.sed' and then do a system transfer, or make a copy of the Nand from my O3DS and inject it into my N2DS

You cant make a nand backup then restore that nand to another console. You will brick. (Or Godmode9 wont allow you) You can system transfer then restore the O3DS nand to the O3DS.

What should I do then to pass all the information from one console to the other (since I imagine that the system transfer does not pass unofficial data)
