Will there be no updates in the translation patch? There are still many armor and weapons with the original Japanese names, it would be a good ideia to do the translation of the names of the quests, at least the DLC ones.

There are very, very, very few armors untranslated, and I can't think of any weapons that haven't been translated, maybe DLC but again they're very few.

Translating quests is a stupid idea, because when searching online for something (for example which quest unlocks a Hunter Art) the quest names are given in Japanese.

ALL the weapon names have been translated. Almost all the armor names are already updated if you use the patcher.cia, otherwise you're stuck with compiling the new files for your own update.cia and installing that.

Translating quest names would be stupid indeed as it would interfere with the Western release names if it ever gets released. You don't need to know what the quest name is to take or complete them, just take some effort to recognize the words. There's a reason the target monster exists in the quest description.

Something weird happened to my mhxx hunter rank from hr 12 it jumped to hr 68 after completing the G4 urgent quest. Is this normal or a bug? I aso tried restarting the game anf loading my save file and it really shows that i am really now at hr68.

Don't quote me on this, but i believe this is what happens when you reach hr break. how much it increases depends on (again, dont quote me) how many monsters you hunted.

Yes, that's normal. When you beat the final online boss of a monster hunter game, you achieve "HR unlock" where you HR grows like experience levels in an RPG (but still no change to your stats or anything), but it's retroactive. You had built up enough "EXP" to be 68 from all the previous hunts you did before you beat it.

I see now. Thanks for the clarification. You're right there is no change in stats, just the rank.
 
i just recently got this game and applied the patch runner updated the game etc. the english works fine but when i beat the congalala urgent my game crashes after the first cutscene. i have not tried the game without ntr running which could be an issue but i did remove and reinstall everything only to have a repeat of the issue 4 times. does anyone know of a way i can possibly fix this?

I tried without ntr the crash still occurred in the same spot after defeating the congalala.

Getting this same exact crash also. On version 1.1.0 and Patch v2.1.

Edit: Game crashes after completing a quest, right after the load screen before the quest results.

Have you two tried completing the Urgent without the patch to see whether it's your game or the patch that's causing the crash?

If you're running the patcher.cia, can you run it again and complete the urgent?
There are constant updates that aren't reflected in the patch version so a 2.1 patch now has way more work done than when it was first released.

Okay, so just tried my save on with no patch installed, and it crashes before the Quest Results screen can come up. So I assume it's my save, but I don't know what to do from here.


Edit: Ok, so I found my reason for the game crashing when I finish any quest. When I bring along a Felyne with too many characters in its name, and complete a quest, it crashes the game.

is this new to mhxx?

i cant rename them they were modded palicos. i got off gamefaqs that i renamed with the editor for mhgen. i guess they will have to wait until a save editor that isnt chinese is released.
