where is the n64 core port so i can donate? xD
The idea is porting PSX or improving it to lead the way to have more cores ported over, if that makes sense. The thing is Twinaphex told me N64 would require the plugins to be ported over into GX2, I guess I was wrong for assuming that people would be on board for this, looks like I've made another stupid decision, yet again.

So sorry for wanting to breathe life into the Wii U port.

The PSX would be easier to write the PPC for, no having to deal with GX2 GPU plugins for Mupen64, if you want to start a GitHub/bounty source incentive, be my guest. I sure as hell aren't going to make one.

that way someone would actualy learn gx2 codding :P
im sure alot of people want psx its just not my case, also wouldnt there needed to be a dynarec for the core first before you actualy port it for ppc? i mean mednafen doesnt even have a x86 dynarec right?

That's what the bounty source is for, incentive, to get developers interested, that's the whole point of this. They have to start somewhere. But hell, maybe I never should've started the damn bounty, I was just trying to breathe life into the Wii U port, turns out that was a mistake too, apparently. The N64 would be more of a nightmare, PSX has software plugins, no need for GX2 crap, which would add more development time. I was just trying to do something nice for a change, so much for that.

@the_randomizer the big problem I have with you creating a bounty is that it defeats the whole purpose of what homebrew is all about its never been about money if devs want to program something they will the vast majority do it for the challenge of creating things and for the live of doing things with consoles thats not ment to be possible. they don't do it for money. If money interested them they would get a proper job in computing. Sorry I just think very few devs are going to be motivated by the money.

Especially $15 lol... this is almost insulting. What happened to 125$? It's fine to want to breathe life into something but that's not what I would call this.

Who's bounty? Who is placing this bounty? He said himself he can't afford to pay it... also no 15$ is not a donation it's his current bounty.
The bounty set by Twinaphex, which is 125 to get momentum going.
And if you actually clicked on the link, you could the the current $15 are already there from a "backer", which it's him.

Anyone that knows programing will tell you its going to take at the very minimum 6 months of work do you honestly think that anyone is going to be interested in 125 dollars for 6 months work???

Exactly. We should do a gofundme for the randomiser to buy him a pstv for his ps1 fettish.
@the_randomizer No disrespect i appreciate your constant ongoings for ps1 on wii u but it's time to move on cause it's not gonna happen.

Geez guys, don't be so fucking harsh on him seriously.

He wanted to step forward and start an actual bounty for something which I know several people want to see on their Wii U.
He simply made the move to start a bounty for such thing, and yet you bash on him just for doing that?
What is wrong with trying to present an incentive for the developers to work on?
That should certainly help them see that interest is there and this way they at least have the monetary incentive to work on it.

$125 is just the bounty to get things in motion, if you don't want to contribute, simply don't do it, and please restrain yourself from talking bullshit if you won't contribute to those who are willing to do so.

If you have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all :) so... who here is planning on adding to the bounty? I'll chuck a few bucks towards it.
I might do so once I get paid at the end of the month, if not, then by May 15th.
I just went through a heavy payment in April and I'm still recovering, so I gotta reimburse that first.

It's not that we are being harsh its that people are fed up of @the_randomizer coming on here every day bashing retroarch and the devs behind it and moaning none stop about the psx emulator he has being doing this for about 4 months on a daily basis. That and the fact that homebrew devs are simply not intreasted in money makes the bounty pointless. The wiiu quite literally only has about 5 or six active devs and and they all do it for the love and challenge of doing it none of them are going to be motivated by a ridiculously low bounty of $125 for a minimum of 6 months work if money was a motivation for them.

tbh im gonna donate 10$ tomorow too to help it reach 125$ just for the sake of helping people, srs while im not a ps1 fan i dont go around insulting people for trying a diferent thing.

Everything you said is true up to the 125$ bounty part. I don't think anyone is being harsh or saying he did anything wrong. What I'm saying is that you should never place a bounty you cannot back. THAT is what is disrespectful to devs. He put a bounty that he had no intention of fulfilling. As of the moment right now, there is no 125$, only 15$ total. We should make it clear that 15$ is all someone will be paid if someone were to pursue this at this present moment. (not that 125$ would be anything compared to the amount of time required for such a project). To be clear, a bounty is promise of payment for completing a task.

Where is this "$125 is just the bounty to get things in motion" you're talking about? You said Twinaphex set it, which he definitely did not do either. He is afaik a mod for the bounties.

Basically this:
twinaphex said:
I don't think you can expect any kind of major momentum then when starting at just $15.
The $125 are the goal to achieve momentum for the project.

Give me a break people, I misunderstood how to start the bounty, I can't just throw 125 dollars out of the blue like that. Sheesh.

Oh, then by all means, what would be a better bounty to set the goal to then? 200, 300, 500 dollars? What would you suggest I do then? I can change the bounty to maybe 500 dollars, would that work instead?

Especially $15 lol... this is almost insulting. What happened to 125$? It's fine to want to breathe life into something but that's not what I would call this.

If you have 200 dollars to spare to start you own bounty, be my guest. :P

Please do not host crowdfunded goals on the bounty source website. That is not what it is for. A $125 goal is not the same as a "$125 is just the bounty" that you stated earlier.

Bounty source should not be used with the same purpose as kickstarter, indiegogo, or the like.

Bounty source is for BOUNTIES only. Also twinaphex stated "I don't think you can expect any kind of major momentum then when starting at just $15." not as an offer of money himself.

Oh, then what do you suggest we do? Just sit on our thumbs and expect things to improve on RA?
