Is it okay to start buying games for the console that I don't own yet? I thought I would ask because I bought Breath of the Wild for the Switch and planning on getting Mario Kart 8 for the Switch also.

I wasn't implying that I was gonna buy any game on launch date... with Splatoon 2 being the exception.
No its a waste of money. The games you buy could of been money towards the system.
Also prices drop on games so depending on how long you have to wait to play them, you might have been able to get them for cheapers.

Ive been on facebook and people are posting left and right about going to walmart or target and picking up one and them having 1 to 3 extras.
Looked at Best Buy, Target, both Walmarts and Gamestop. However, I missed the console at Best Buy two weeks ago.

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
