Hacking A9LH Luma 3DS Help

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I hacked my N3DS awhile back and had a few questions in regards to newer versions of A9LH. First off, what are the benefits to updating to A9LH version 2? What does the CTR NAND do? Lastly, I had installed a bunch of Retro CIA's (Nintendo, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA) and when I tried playing the GBA games the console just shuts down after booting the game. I'm certain this did not happen in the past. Do I need to reinstall anything?

Oh and my 3DS is version 11.3.0 – 36E on Luma 7.0.3

A9HL version 2? What?
The GBA VC might be you have L2 + Clock enabled, not too sure

Sorry, maybe I'm misinformed. I remember reading awhile back that their was an update and I could have swore it was a version 2. Tried changing the clock option for the GBA issue. no luck.

How exactly does it shut down when using GBA VC? Do you have use exception handlers enabled?

like @Dionicio3 said try to turn on exeption handlers (worked for me)

In the Luma 3DS settings I selected:
splash off
N3DS CPU off

Autoboot SysNAND
Enable game patching
Show NAND
Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM
Enable exception handlers

No luck though. Immediately after booting a GBA game it shuts off. Nintendo, GB, GBC, and SNES VC games all work. Oh and thanks again for all the help so far.

He's totally right there was a A9v1 a while ago. Doesn't pop up very often nowadays but still it's true.

We're currently on v3. Not to be confused with data input v3 and v4. v3 enables SDless a9lh.
