1. About 3DSpoof :
3DSpoof is a 3DS homebrew what allows you to customize your SysNAND and up to 4 EmuNAND. Written in C and fully explained line-per-line, the code is really easy to understand if you want to fork it or use it. The original concept was made by the awesome Bernardo Giordano, I read his code and improved it, by redesigning it, making the code more easy to understand, and adding some cool features.

/!\ This tool is a just-for-fun application, it will just replace the setting system version by the one you'll write, nothing else really crazy. /!\
Also, as it was my first homebrew app (I first didn't planed to share it but it can be useful for beginners) be indulgents and don't say "you copied Custom Version Setter" etc... I already credited his author many times.

  • To Do:

    • Make a .cia file.

Is it "permanent"? I mean, upon rebooting, will it still showing the spoof?

Edit: I think I'm kind of stupid. xD

Not at all, only the System version as shown in screenshots.
But I'm currently working on a tool to customize the whole Home Menu (I was bored to use many tools and take 10min per edit so I decided to make an all-1-one).
So will there be a tool from you to customize the shutdown screen in the future?

i already have this on my n3ds, and it's not a new thing. while configuring luma, you can see an option like "show nand or user string in system settings", and down "refer to the wiki for instructions".
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Options-and-usage
you can see it on the "Show NAND or user string in System Settings" section.

I never said it was something new, just my user-friendly tool to make it easier for anyone.
only to make the things clear, i not see any reference to aurora wright or something like.
anyway, even if i can't see this tool so useful (at least for me), thanks for the contribution to the 3ds scene

Well, you could have made this a bit different; it's basically Custom Version Setter (even in the UI!) with some more buttons added to the keyboard. I know OSS is OSS, but this could have better be a Pull Request to CustomVersionSetter. In every case, do whatever you want to do; this could be an exercise to learn better this kind of things.

I credited everyone I though about, and forgot Aurora, I'll add her.

Please just read my description... I quoted mutiple times Bernardo (Custom Version Setter creator) and he don"t update the tool anymore (as I know) so I made my own build.
I plan to merge it with another project, with a better UI (maybe a GUI). It was also as you said, a good training to learn a bit from 3ds homebrews.

Figure I'd say this, but that is Bernardo you're talking to.
