Would it be possible to create a homebrew NDS version for the Binding of Isaac, even if very simple?
I know there's already Rebirth for the 3DS, but I don't really care much for that.

Nice! Take all the time needed on your current projects dude, you might be single-handedly keeping NDS homebrew alive.
Thanks :)
Also I think I have a lot of time to work on nds homebrew, bcs there isnt much demand anymore
Anyway ill try to make binding if isaac nds in around a month or so, so keep an eye out for a new thread! ;)

There is a unreleased project by @TheCruel called Witchblast. It plays like BoI.
Oh yeah, I remember that from a while back, but Im gonna create a BoI almost exact port!;)

Geez, you're doing quite a lot. You making homebrew or starting a Nintendo #2?
Haha, but dont worry, the Spirit Tracks hacks and Polybius DS are on haitus, so I will work on BoI DS really soon :P

Wait @Crimson Cuttlefish , I know you cant code, but i remember some time ago there was this thing called
"DS Game Maker" which can make games and since this is your idea, maybe you could make it (if I make it with C++, i would credit you anyway) but you cold make your idea a reality and if you ever need help, I could always lend a hand, so tell me what you think ;)

I'll take a look at that. You got a link?

I don't mean on raining on everyone's parade but BoI:Rebirth barely works on the N3DS without constant crashing or slow downs.
The DS is far more inferior than the N3DS so I don't know how that would work.

Thats why were creating homebrew because homebrew > official games
Let me explain why, because when you release a homebrew, others can suggest improvements ro make it better and that can be changed
However official games are released once and thats it, the developers dont care about your suggestions for improvement so...yeah
Therefore Homebrew is better than Official Games

It might be better, but what worries me is the hardware you're working on.

This thread has been pretty cringe, but just gotta point out that BoI runs like ass on the 3DS because is a direct port.
Pretty sure these dudes are planning on recreating the game from the ground up, which just won't work and will end up not happening, like hundreds of other "projects" that have been showing up on GBAtemp over the years.

But if this ends up happening, then the game will run well, since it was made specifically for that hardware and not ported over from another (more powerful) system.

Kinda ironic isn't it? Especially since Edward and the likes said they were big fans of Nintendo and they wanted to make the game exclusive to the New 3DS only to run like shit because they just copied over the code instead of creating the game from the ground up.

I never said anything about Rebirth.

I don't reckon it would be easy, but the chance of success would never be anything but 0% if we don't try.

Did you ever send the PM? I don't think I got it.

Oh sorry about that, ill send it today, just been super busy :(

Oh and @Pacheko17 , nothing is cringe, because it happens so that some people are really trying very hard to keep nds homebrew and hacking alive and I was just encouraging Crimson to join the slowly dying ds homebrew team, so thats it, not cringe
