I find it to be really charming, challenging, and relaxing. Only took a few minutes to get the hang of the controls, but I move and climb really fluidly now, and it's such a satisfying feeling snaking up things.

Digital Foundry showed that the best console version is unsurprisingly, on the PS4 Pro as most would expect it.

PS4 Pro > PS4 > XO > Switch

I'll hold out from buying to see if Nintendo (eShop Selects) or the developers make a physical release of the game.

Bought the game myself a while ago. Pretty unorthodox considering you can't really jump and you actually play like a snake, but I really liked it.

My hand got tired holding R2 constantly and Snake Pass made my first Steam refund. I don't mind driving games either but man that was some intense R2. Charming game though.
you can change controls in settings to "push forward" instead of R2

Heh. Yeah.

If the WiiU had a Snake Pass port it'd be even worse than the Switch one.

naw devs are lazy
they ported the game in one week to switch....
i doubt they bothered to optimize it. if zelda can run 700-720p in handheld mode what's stopping snake crap from doing the same.

Think Digital Foundry said the devs ported the game to the Switch in two days within an acceptable performance and ultimately that's what Switch has. Acceptable performance.

lol thats even worse, 2 days probably got some inexperienced intern to do it. acceptable performance is not what they should be aiming for, oh well if people like the game it's not a big deal.

I think it was two days to get acceptable performance, and then the rest of the week optimizing? What I can say is that I've had no complaints with the quality of the game.

The game runs and looks fine on the Switch but for those that end up playing it on a superior platform will start noticing what's wrong with the Switch version.
