i want to download stuff from eshop and was wondering if there was anyway to bypass the system update. (i have luma if that helps) im thinking something like a patch or so.

Have you Luma3DS + A9LH ?

If the response is "yes" update Luma (using Lumaupdater) and you'll be able to update to 11.3 without losing CFW.
If "no", follow the holy guide 3ds.guide to install Luma3DS + A9LH and update.

the answer is yes. but no i dont want to update. i would like to know another way.

You can use Freeshop: using that title key wbsite, you can download all games from Eshop for free.
However, you should update: you have Luma, one of the only CFW still working for 11.3 (actually using it with 11.3 without any problems).

disabling l2 cache and running httpwn works so anyone who needs to do the same thing. thats the answer

Was just about to suggest ctr-httpwn but seems like you got it. As usual, you won't find a direct answer to your question on these boards
i actually remembered the whole ctr-pwn thingy but then it would fail so i looked it up and it turned out i had to disable l2 caching and then bam it worked (im on public wifi tho so its finicky connecting i had to downgrade my browser to the one that comes with 9.6 in order to login)
