I never understood this awkward form of DRM. What does it matter if the phone is rooted? It's not like root grants access to pirated apk files. You get that by just going to settings and tapping a box.

Was pissed when I found this out. I wish Android game makers would realize that rooted doesn't always mean piracy and cheats. I root many of my devices for storage reasons. Most low to mid range Android devices have shitty storage solutions or are running Android 5.1 which doesn't have proper SD card support
