Hi,
So I have recently hacked my Wii U and it's all works great except haxchi. I have installed it over brain training (I already had the game so it's not the end of the world if it's wasted) and haxchi boots but gives me error -5. I have since edited the config file as follows:

a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
default=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
b=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf

If I hold A or B on boot it loads homebrew launcher no issues but if left to default then I get -5. I had a peak at the code and it seems to be using this location by default anyway but I have found posts saying that it is loading fw.img from the root yet it still doesn't load if you move homebrew launcher there.

At present I can still boot but would be nice to fix.

You're giving too much commands for the same homebrew app at once.
Try setting default to sysmenu and change b to something else, it should fix everything.

That was just what I ended up with, it failed if I don't provide a config, with only the default entry, with A and default in either order and with all 3 but b set to another app.
Though I don't really get what you mean by settings default "sysmenu" so maybe I am missing something.

If you set the line in the config to default=sysmenu then HaxChi will boot you to a wii u system that is region free and sigpatched.

From there you can install custom channels like the homebrew launcher channel or WUP Installer GX2.

Since you're now on CFW you can install DLC too.

Just so you know, if you make changes to the HaxChi config file you should reinstall HaxChi. This will ensure your changes are incorporated.

Keep mind that 'default=' argument must be last
ex.
a=<homebrew app directory>
b=<homebrew app directory>
default=<sysmenu or homebrew app directory>

If you mapped two buttons as the same app, Haxchi will not boot it.
Deleting config.txt will result in unbootable Haxchi until you recreate config.
If you want to update Haxchi config, use Haxchi Installer again.

From testing Haxchi boots it fine, least with the latest version of haxchi.

Deleting the config in haxchi installer doesn't seem to matter as it generates a default one for you, I'm sure if you delete the copy it's actually reading then I can see that being an isse.

Yeah I worked that out quickly, really annoying as I am on install 50+ :P

So I came up with a solution that doesn't really make any sense but it works so I am not touching it. Basically it always ignores default for me no matter what you do however if you have B as the last entry (doesn't work with A but others may work) it takes whatever you assign to B as the default.
I don't really like this solution because it makes little sense but as I don't intend on updating it ever then should all be good XD

Same here, defaults to homebrew channel no matter what.

Wait. Do I need some kind of fw.img in root SD to default?
