He means A9LH installation is way easier than an EmuNAND installation (IHO)
Would you like another go at that?
I solved it! I just changed from Reinand to Luma and it's so much smoother! No problems anymore :yay3ds:
You could have simply updated with the same version I posted twice for you

I tried doing that, but it still didn't work. I still really appreciate your help though :)
It sounds like your problem was related to an out of date firmware.bin. You just needed to do a clean install of ReiNAND to fix your issue. You didn't need to switch to Luma3DS

Which is literally what I said lol. Still luma is the better option at the moment for o3ds. Gonna be honest.

Yeah, at the moment it is. I kind of miss when ReiNAND was New3DS exclusive
When I bought a new3DS and used ReiNAND how it was suppose to be used, I could see what the buzz was all about.

lolwut? I hope you realize i had a9lh installed before it was public. That's why reinand was the first public cfw to bypass 9.5+ encryption. And cakes and RN were the first to support the public a9lh implementation. Also a9lh is a payload that runs arm9 code early and has literally nothing to do with sysnand/emunand.
Sorry I didn't mean you I was saying that to Dave. Some reason I thought this is a new thread.

Yes I did download the a9hl folder...and files9...and luma. It was a mess at first, but it cleared itself out once I did the ctctransfer to 3DS 2.4. At least the new arm9 guide tells me exactly what to keep and what to delete; the ReiNand guide didn't, so I had about 5GB of extra stuff and 91 random files. I hacked my 3DS last year though, so I was scared of deleting something and bricking the console.

Sorry for what may sound like a ridiculous question but I use ReiNAND and have not updated or even used my N3DS in months. Just to confirm that it is currently safe to update ReiNAND to allow me to play online? I'm currently on 11.2.035E. Thanks.

Update to the reinand 5.1 "update" a couple of pages back, and you can update to 11.3 and play online just fine.

Is that the Dropbox link? Do I just have to copy and paste the files (minus the arm9loaderhax.bin) and then I can do the System Update on the emuNAND? I'm not very up to date on any of these procedures so trying to explain as simply as possible.

Yes and replace all the files. If you use a9lh and emunand, update the arm9loaderhax.bin too.

If set in the context of the transition from rxTools to Luma3DS and the unit would not boot to the latter CFW via MSET, what seems to be causing it? Is there a ROP for Luma3DS meant for the sysnand firmware 8.1.0-19U? I only see options for the 4.X and 6.X firmwares.

I created this thread at Luma3DS GitHub page: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/issues/380. So far, only 1 person replied and suggests me going for the A9LH route.
