Been troubleshooting for 3 Days now. i keep getting "List Index (1816) out of bounds"
but your older downloads work when loading the saves but they always end up formatting my data and i lose everything.

but good news is i have save back ups.

But is there a detailed description for me to avoid getting the "List Index (1816) out of bounds"

Hello, you may not be around anymore... but its worth a shot, actually created an account just for this very reason. total newb at stuff like this and I need help, so I downloaded the SaveDataFiler thingy you mentioned and can't figure out how in the world you install it, looking online hasn't been much help, I can acess my SD card on my computer but thats where I can't figure out what to do next... Have the editor ready to go but yeah, cant find the saves without the SaveDataFiler? (Tried without it but no luck) Any help is appreciated. Also my game is downloaded.

I actually normally don't do stuff like this but I want to unlock New Game + but Eliza's requests are getting to the point where they are becoming too tedious to complete to the point im actually desperate, so I wanted to hack in the stuff I need to complete the last few requests. (Or just unlock NG+ if your editor can do that.)

I tried this and I lost my save files. My game is a CIA file and I tried tampering with it and honestly Im not sure which save file to edit. I tried the rf4a.sav and that didn't change anything. The main file doesn't work on the editor period. I tried on the rf4s.sav file and that did nothing too. Please help.

did you backed up your save files? try using JKSV for extracting and injecting save files, I've done this several times and it works every time.

Which save file do I use though? and I tried putting my old files back but the game simply tells me my data had been formatted. I used save_manager as well as savedatafiler

Use JKSV, it's far more stable imo, maybe it has to do with secure values, JKSV takes care of those automatically, I don't remember very well, but if you could open them up in the editor and edit them, then those are probably the saves you should use.

There are two identical files one named rf4s.sav and rf4a.sav and a main file.

Does anyone know if there is any way to change the player name?

I used a patch, which basically enabled arc 2, so there's a good chance the in game name change by Mistress Trupin won't work, it is a known bug.

late reply sorry.
did you somehow edit items that you shouldn't edit? (such as giving 10 amount to equipments/fishes, things that cannot stack up)
that's what I got when I tried to do and got that error code.

I want to play the Genderswapped undub version and the place where i got it said to use this save editor to fix the player sfx (the version just switches the sprite). I searched all over the prog but i cant find it. Does anyone knows how this is supposed to work?

This is awesome, I think it's the first 3ds game save editor I have seen. Sadly I can't use it so much since I'm not always in home near my pc, so, anyone have ntr cheats for the Undub 0004000000766600 version? I can't find any :c

Thank you for the editor! It should make investigating game mechanics and strategies much easier.

That said, do you have any insight on how the XP system works for skills? It's not currently editable, but it must be captured in the save file somewhere. I can try to do some digging myself, but wanted to know if you encountered anything related to it in your initial hackery.

I highly doubt this save editor would work, considering that this save editor was made for the 3ds, whereas the new game is built for switch.That means there's a bunch of new code, and most of the other code has been updated. (Hence the corruption errors you're getting.)
Give it a week or two, and there will probably be a new one for Special.

Just copy both sav file in \citra-emu\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\title\00040000\00766600\data\00000001 into pc and use save editor. after that just paste your edited save file. Love you so much. I use undub ver btw.
