Thanks, but I did already dump my DSP. It works in RetroArch with driver set to dsp, so I assume it should be good for mGBA as well, shouldn't it?? Or do I need to copy the dsp file to another location for mGBA?? Do you have sound without problems??
Like stated above it should get dumped to where it needs to be. What version of mGBA are you using? Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as @gnmmarechal, I have a 2DS and use VC injects for GBA roms.

I tried the stable 0.5.2 and the latest nightly from mgba.io No Sound on both... Does anyone here use mGBA and get Sound?? mGBA just runs some games better as gpsp and is stable, so I'd really like to use it. VC injections have no save states, which is why I'd prefer Emulators.
Thanks anyway for trying to help me @BL4Z3D247 and @gnmmarechal

Actually most VC injects have a save state but it's only a single save state. For what it's worth when I first installed A9LH and tried mGBA(not sure what version it was) it had sound, it just ran slow on my 2DS so that's when I went the VC inject route.

Edit: Looks like it's a known issue on N3DSes.

Edit2: Just noticed you're the one posting in that forum. Lol.

Edit3: I thought GBA VC injects had a save state but I was thinking of the other VC injects. In game save/load work though.

Yeah that's me on the other forum ;) I wanted to ask here again, because no one tells me if sound works or not for others... Here are more members, so I hoped anyone could tell me if it works for him, so I'd definitely knew that the problem is on my end.
WiiU VCs do have save states, but not 3DS unfortunately... And RTC doesn't work as well...

I had the no sound issue once on n3DS, was pretty random and I thought it was a problem with the rom because it had never happened before. Only happened once though - so probably unrelated to your issue. Seems like a very strange bug.

use retroarch gpsp for core pokemon games. runs great, and I haven't had a crash. Install the .cia
Yes I've the CIA but not retroach gsps.I'll see that

I installed retroach cia for 3ds but it don't boot giving me black screen. Is it different from retroach gpsp?
And what is gba vc roms:another app to load games?Ok it seem to be a program where you can create your CIA

the vc roms thing comes from the iso site, but its basically the full game in one package. (I wouldn't use it for pokemon games, however, since issues come up with the saves.)

Did you put the retorarch folder on the root of your sd card? also, turn off audio sync in the config once you have it up and running.

I've downloaded a zip folder with a retroacth folder and various cia,and then I've placed the folder on the root e the gspg and retroach cias on FBI to install them.
I've selected the gspg core but he said gba bios.bin is missing...
But mgba is bad as emulator? At the moment on my 3ds there something like 4 cia similar XD:librero gspg, librero, retroacth and mgba
Someone explain me step to step how use one of them :)

just use the one which says gpsp. Also, obtain a gameboy advance BIOS (Can't tell you where, just google for it), and you have to set the directory of wherever you put the bios once you have it on your SD card. After this, everything should be running near full speed, even on an Old3ds. New 3ds will moreover have less slowdowns, but I haven't seen any on the pokemon games which impact gameplay to a significant degree.

OK the directory is sdhc/retroach/core but it give this:Does not have enought samples for monitor refresh rate estimation.Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.
Retroarch error:this core requires a content file
Where I've wronged?

ignore that samples error, but are you sure there is a folder on the root of your SD called "retroarch"? It should be the one from the .zip

I tried with gssp cia and the core has all the right files I think. The cia is called Librebo or similar to that(the author I think)and below there is gssp
the cia you should be installing and running is called gpsp, not libretro. install the cia titled "gpsp", and run that one.

I installed this
search

I think is this because below librebo there is gpsp.I've not found other gpsp...
