Is there an updated compatability list or chart for NES games that can run on the NESCE? The google one isn't working for me
So far I have been able to get any game(NES, SNES, and Genesis) to work with NESCE. Some take a bit more work, but I never used a list. Just good ol' trial and error lol.

Did you ever get Last Starfighter working?

Thanks so much to Cluster for the update to 2.13, everything worked perfectly this time as far as syncing goes. After trying most of the games, there are a few I seem to be having issues with, if anyone might know what the issues are:

-All of the Gamegear games I put on give me a black screen followed by C8 Error (Sonic Chaos, Sonic Drift 1+2, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Triple Trouble, Tails Adventure)
-X-Men for Genesis gives me the same C8 issue
-Dragon Ball Mystery of Shenron appears to just be a gray screen when I boot it up
-Robopon Sun Version boots me back to the game selection screen when I pick it even though it's a gameboy color game and the rest of the gameboy games work

I selected one psx game which put me over the 300mb limit by almost double.... but now when I un-select it wont change the capacity bar in Hakchi2, How do I get it to reflect the actual size again of all the games total??

Thanks

Close out hakchi and start it up again. The bar seems to hang after a while sometimes.

First of all, thank you all for doing this great stuff. It's also great that so many friendly user are here, which try to help and made this hole thing even better I paid the double price to get a classic mini an i love it. After a few problems i have now about 200 nes and snes games and they are working great (not tested all yet).

For beginners like me i highly rrecommend the youtube videos from eta prime
I know that there are many other fantastic videos but the one frm eta prime solved my problems. The viedeos are easy and in english and he is telling basics (which are enough for me).

Perhaps i can also help some members here.

I'm using the 8Bitdo controller. It's the wireless version with four red buttons and the two shoulder buttons. I also had problems in the retroarch settings and after that, i was not able to navigate. For nes this controller is great but it doesen't work for snes.

What solved my problem:
Uninstalled the retroarch hmod from hackchi
copy a new retroarch hmod file in the correct folder
Intstall retroarch hmod again

Perhaps you don't habe to copy a new retroach ans just reinstall it. Id all of that and can now using my controller agai. I will buy another controller and a 10 feet cable ans use the 8Bitdo only for NES, maybe a PDP Wired Fight Pad for Wii U.

Sorry for that long text and for some mistakes. My english needs to grow up again:)

Regards from Switzerland

Danke Dir, wintageretro, das hat funktioniert. Schönen Gruss aus Deutschland.

Reading through every page of this thread is a fascinating (albeit tedious) way to see how this tool has developed. You'll learn a lot about the program and system, and it should help a great deal in any future troubleshooting you may need to perform (remember, we're still evolving here!).

@chillmodious I'm tenacious like that....I like to know what's going on 'under the hood' as it were...

Slightly noob-ish question...any benefit to updating to 2.13e from 2.12 (that is, if I don't plan on emu'ing other systems?)

Running 82 titles so far with no 'C8's'...

In 2.12 if I wanna add neo geo games. Do I just need to add the core and make a bin for it? Does it have to be 64 bin And do I have to have BIOS, if so where do I put it? I just want metal slug 2 or whatever one I can get cause it's a beast game! I don't wanna jump to 2.13 yetttt

I would probably update. There's really no downside, especially if you backup your 2.12 hakchi folder. You get the memory bar, which is nice. Also there are probably some bug fixes for things you haven't even encountered (yet?), and there is better support (with pcm's great work on the RetroArch module) for previously non working or problematic NES and FDS games. Aaaand, you may wake up one morning and decide you want to add a Game Boy game, or get a strange urge to go in on some Mario Kart, so that will make things much easier for you.

Didn't Robopon Sun have that IR device on the cart and use its own weird mappers? It has problems on even on some of the best flashcarts, and many emulators I think too. It could be emulator issue?

does anyone have wii classic contr. pro and extenstion cable for mini pad and it loses sync very often and lags? in menu also, so it's probably a harware related problem. without extension cable it works ok

Last edited by stojan,
So I had done some testing.
Thank you very much, i will buy two SFC30.

Please can you tell me which firmware you use for controller and receiver?
Are you using two receiver or just one? 8Bitdo faq says this and i assume that it will not work for two players by just plug one receiver in "One power on with START+B, the other power on with START+B+R. Both working in mode 2, but with different key code, easy for you to map in game."
