I'm not sure if anyone is going to be able to figure this out, but my pstv is encountering some major issues. it started a few days ago. I can't seem to connect to henkaku at at all. I also can't seem to connect to cma using wifi or an ethernet cable. well, sometimes I can connect, but backing up the memory card results in a 25MB backup while I have about 47GBs. one time, the system reset while using cma; another time, the system said the memory card had been ejected. I've already tried changing the memory card. same problem. I tried formatting the memory card which failed. also, sometimes, my ps4 controller can't sync with the system even if plugged in. wtf!? I can't figure out the problem. :-/

Have you tried system format? Also it could just be bad wifi/bluetooth chip?

tried system format. it failed. I think it's a hardware issue, but y is formatting failing along with using an ethernet cable? I barely use the system too. :-(
Well maybe is the internet connection, how did you set it up? Psvita is known to have bad wifi connections. But the bluetooth thing i dunno, never had issues with it. Maybe disturbance, intiference or jamming signals?

well, that's the thing. I've set up everything correctly, never had a problem with it, but suddenly all these issues for no logical reason. it could be total hardware failure or software corruption for no reason.

I dunno, you said you set it up and it was worrking, then one day it wasn't, you didn't touch anything. Did you try monitoring the connection status in the system settings? Are other devices having problems or just the pstv?

The 3DS has a complete shit wifi chip, the Vita's is just somewhat shit. Not as bad as some devices, but compared to just about any mobile phone it's ass.

As to the actual topic, it sort of a sounds like a hardware failure somewhere. Did you happen to install any homebrew or games before this happened? Have you been messing in any system partitions (like os0)?

No the ps vita's wifi is fine for a portable console, I remember using mcdonalds wifi to remote play ps4 and it was running pretty good.
It's not good. It's usable. It's definitely not good.

How good do you want it to be?
Well as good as a tablet from 2014? :P

Least good enough to have higher download speed than 20MB especially when downloading games, or playing online. :)
Good enough to have perfect quality over remote play. But i guess that why the vita tv was invented with the ethernet port.

You're expecting alot from a device that was introduced in 2011 :P

I know, but look what came out a year later in 2012? Wii U, bad wifi. In 2013? Ps4, bad wifi, I know psvita and 3DS has 2.4B/G and wii u and ps4 has 2.4 N but the fact that Xbox one started with 5Ghz AC is good, not add it as a upgrade in newer ps4 models.

Still in 2011 yes th psvita was made with that bad wifi. but the pstv came out october 2014, what they do? Include the exact same bad wifi but added ethernet port. In 2014 THAT was no excuse, and right to complain is there (unless you use ethernet then this threat or post isn't or you. :P

I'm not sure if I've fixed it or not, but I managed to reflash a memory card image to my memory card, reset the system, and was able to install henkaku without issue. I think something may have been very corrupt with my system.dreg, because I know it houses wifi/bluetooth/possibly memory card settings. I need to check it thoroughly this weekend to know for sure though. thanks for all the help guys. :)

What do you mean reflash memory card? How could you do something that only works with vita and has encrypted file system with no access to henkaku?
