I followed the stock guide for hacking three 3DS units, but I have an odd problem specific to one of them. If the SD card is inserted, it will lock up on a power up or resetting out of the system options. The power light still comes on and I can hold down the power to force a shutdown and popping the base, ejecting the card, and restarting starts it up without fail, but its very inconvenient to have to do with a New.

It was previously suggested I delete the homemenudata and let it be restored anew on a reboot but I'm unable to determine where it is on the card.

Any suggestions or advise on locating it?

- Navigate to /Nintendo 3DS/(32 Character ID)/(32 Character ID)/extdata/00000000/ on your SD card

Thank you x65943, but that didn't solve my problem. :\

It did, however, rewrap all my software. >.> What a stupid gimmick...

Sorry, I didn't think that it would solve your issue - but I thought that I would show you how to do it because you asked :\
