You sound like it's still work, But the truth is if you don't have lastest FW,
the app refuse to continue and won't allow you to exchange your pokemons with the cloud.
3DS never force people to update.

I edited my post, playing online in games does not force you to update. Only when using official apps. I never said the 3DS forces you to update in general.

Anyways, Gateway 3DS (arm9 payload, emuNAND) black screen on 11.3.
I'll test my sky3DS if I ever find it but I doubt it got patched.

Also DSiDowngrade and some exploits are patched.

Why not take homebrew out at the same time though? I don't know how SoundHax works but surely they just had to shuffle a few memory locations around or something.

i will say it again nintendo likes homebrew. homebrew at its core allows for amateur developers to grow meaning future employees complete with there own unique fresh new intellectual property already designed to work on there console . . .*coughs*colors 3d*coughs* . . . nintendo needs devs . . . nintendo needs homebrew
