If you are using windows 10, make sure to unzip the file using 7zip... it will not lock the permissions...
this is a common error when using windows 10 and winrar...
Oh yeah I forgot to use 7zip instead of winrar sin

Oh yeah I forgot to use 7zip, I was finally able to disable the epilepsy protection.

These are apparently the non-working NTSC Licensed games listed below which NESC currently doesn't support.

Batman Return of the Joker
Deadly Towers
Dragon Power
Goal Two
Gumshoe
High Speed
NES Play Action Football
Nintendo World Championships
Pin Bot
Pro Sport Hockey
Super Mario + Duck Hunt (kind of irrelevant since lightgun is unsupported & Mario works / incl)
Super Spike Volley Ball + Nintendo World Cup
Thunder & Lightning
Videomation

UNL aka UN-licensed / Proto's Non-working NTSC games on the NESC:

Action 52
After Burner
Alien Syndrome
Baby Boomer
Bible Adventures
Bible Buffet
Black Jack
Buzz & Waldog
Caltron 6 in 1
Captain Comic The Adventure
Castle of Deceit
Challenge of the Dragon
Crystal Mines
Death Race
Death Bots
Double Strike
Dudes with Attitude
Escape from Atlantis
Exodus Journey to the promised land
F15 City War
Free Fall
Galactic Crusader
Hard Drivin'
Impossible Mission II
Joshua & The Battle of Jericho
King Neptune's Adventure
King of Kings
Klax
Krazy Kreatures
Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu
Menace Beach
Metal Fighter
Mission Cobra
Moon Ranger
Operation Secret Storm
P'Radikus Conflict
Pesterminator
Puzzle
Quattro Adventure
Quattro Arcade
Quattro Sports
Racemate challenge II
Rad Racket Deluxe Tennis II
Raid 2020
Road Runner
Roberty Brynes Pool Challenge
Robodemons
Rolling Thunder
Rumble Station 15 in 1
Shinobi
Shock Wave
Silent Assault
Skull & Crossbones
Solitaire
Spiritual Warfare
Sunday Funday The Ride
Tagin' Dragon
Tiles Of Fate
Trolls on Treasure Island
Uforce Power Games
Ultimate League Soccer
Venice Beach Volleyball
Wally Bear and No Gang
Xybots

If possible I would think that someone will patch the first 15+/- games so this way at least ALL of the Licensed games would be supported. Afterwards worry about a fix / patches / mapper fixes for the UN-Licensed games.

For anyone wondering, custom menu music is possible.
  1. Create a .wav file, the smaller in size the easier it is to transfer to the mini.
  2. Go into the hakchi2 folder > mods > mods_transfer > hakchi
  3. Remove silence.wav and insert your converted song
  4. Rename your .wav file silence.wav
  5. Go into hakchi2 and select disable menu music
  6. Sync, and viola! You've got custom menu music.
I'd show you proof of mine, but I don't have a capture card, so you'll have to trust me.

I was able to get roms onto my nes. But the next day I found a link with every rom in one link. I tried to upload them, it says they're all zipped I am not very bright with computers I barely figured out how to get the first few ones on. So please don't laugh but I am determined to figured this out. How do I go about changing the file type .7z that's what the person said on his link to all the roms he posted. I keep getting error cannot load 7-zip library or internal com error message can not change the library path

You just need to UNZIP Them so they become .nes files... type in WINZIP to google. or use this link...

This is NOT a rom site !
The very first post you place is asking for roms.
You found this forum through google, it is much easier to find roms through google than this website.
I am not wanna start a flame war here but your first post is quite impolite.
This forum is about Hakchi2, not about roms, roms are still illegal and not to be posted on this forum, google it.

TRANSLATION : Mad Mega is right, this isn't a ROM site and illegal software shouldn't be discussed here. However don't blame or be angry with people who don't know any better and are just asking a question, I don't think that is forbidden here. Best way is to ignore or to explain them that them that games are not included and games are easily obtainable through a google search "nes roms"...

Translated: Bye everyone :-)

Awesome I did have someone ask about this, and I put the idea to @Cluster great stuff lads!

I may have brought it up on Github.

Where to get this?

Github. Compile it from source.

Edit: Install Visual Studio Community (uncheck the web tools during install to save ~2gb). Download the source zip from Github. Unpack. Open the folder. Open the file hakchi_gui.csproj in Visual Studio. Change build settings to "Release" and then build/compile the project. When finished it will be located under bin>release. Easy peasy.

Edit2: Clarification. I have been downloading the source through Subversion. Edited out unnecessary steps.

Gumeshoe is a lightgun game as well. So even if it 'worked' no way to play it.

In addition there are also games that you didn't list, that are glitched so bad they aren't playable....

Last Action Heroes
Bandits of the Ancient Kingdom
Uncharted Waters
Total Recall (not unplayable but pretty badly glitched on the levels)

As examples.

Hello all,
I haven't installed the hack yet, and the reason being is because I am noticing considerable audio lag - especially on the Mario games that are pre-installed (but really on all the games). It's not a problem with my tv, I have it in game mode, and I've also ran Nestopia via retropie with no sound lag, on same tv, same input.

Does anyone know if the audio latency is related to the pre-installed roms? I've seen a few videos on here that people have posted with other roms that appear to be working perfectly, with sound synced properly (i.e., jump sound happens when jumping, not after). Am I missing something? I haven't really seen anyone else complaining about the sound lag on here, but I can really see a huge difference when comparing it to other emulators. Sorry if someone has already posted about this, btw.
