Well if Luma is configured on the NAND they should be able to boot without the SD card to rule that out.For me it sounds like a bad SD card...
Well, NANDmin.bin was updated by me so if there was a brick, I wouldn't have to redownload all my cias. It supposedly restores fine, but I think NANDmin is corrupt or something because before I updated NANDmin, I forgot to and just reinstalled my cias and disable parental controls. When I rebooted, it just gives black screen. So I just restored it, redownloaded the cias, then just attempted to update NANDmin I just tried it and still a black screen. I'll try ctrtransfer now.Yeah just delete the 0000008f folder, reinsert SD card, boot and it should create folders and files for your Home Menu onto your SD card. If that doesn't work you can ctrtransfer to 9.2 and then update via system settings(as you said your NANDmin.bin isn't restoring?).

That's what OP should try first. Since it sounds more as if the SD card is fake, and keeps deleting everything (making it unbootable since the files are there, but the 3DS can't read them correctly)Well if Luma is configured on the NAND they should be able to boot without the SD card to rule that out.
No no, it does not delete everything, if you are talking about the cias, I just need to reinstall them to SYnad everytime I had to restore. It didn't delete any files. :/That's what OP should try first. No, I mean the SD card getting corrupted. Some SD cards come fake, as in when it gets to a certain size occupied, it breaks itself. The files before getting to that certain size *could* work, but the ones after *could* notNo no, it does not delete everything, if you are talking about the cias, I just need to reinstall them to SYnad everytime I had to restore. I am going to try ctrtransfer. See the replies above about restoringOkay, for a start, this should be in the custom firmware sect.
I mean, it doesn't matter to much though because the help you received is really good, but try a ctrtransfer (correct me if i'm wrong) or restore your NAND.
Only methods I can think of.
The only problem is that the only other sd cards I have are the 2gb ones. The one I use is a Sandisk SHC 32gb card. It worked great before. I'll try to experiment and tell how it goesNo, I mean the SD card getting corrupted. Some SD cards come fake, as in when it gets to a certain size occupied, it breaks itself. Try using another SD card first. Any should be fine as long that it's a legit one
I'm suprised there isn't a forum or something about SD cards because this is the second issue i've come across where the SD card is possible the issue within my two hours of browsing. No, I mean the SD card getting corrupted. Nope, you can still get scammed by that too(I say this by experience...) But it's way much less compared to onlineI'm suprised there isn't a forum or something about SD cards because this is the second issue i've come across where the SD card is possible the issue within my two hours of browsing.
I mean, simple solution, go out and physically buy the SD card, correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks, i'll bear that in mind.Nope, you can still get scammed by that too(I say this by experience...) But it's way much less compared to online
Non retail IIRC, and it wasn't me. It was my dad, they told him the cards were legit, so he bought 3 64gb Micro SD cards, at the end I scanned mine because I knew they were fake, and indeed they were. My dad (as always) just ignored anything and just ignored the fact that he got scammed...Thanks, i'll bear that in mind.
Curious though, were you scammed by a mass retail company (for example in the UK; Tesco) or was it a seperate non retail store?
I've pretty much always gone to well known retailers (again for the UK: CurrysPCworld or Tesco personally) and never been let down.
Honestly, just curious because if it is from a retail that'd be something to bear in mind![]()

Myself, I got scammed once, but I totally forgot almost everything of it. I only remember it was dirt cheap and at the end, it turned out to be a 8gb pen drive.
I've heard of slip ups.I think I recall hearing about someone who bought a fake memory stick for his psp from an official sony store. lol
Why dafaq are we talking about this??Ah, I see.
I only trust mass retail stores. So the downside is normally the best you can get isn't as great as some other offers, but it doesn't fail because of course they have a reputation to up hold. I always found that I got by, plus their prices are fairly okay. Obviously not the cheapest but they're realistic.
I mean, that sucks you got scammed. I think I'm just way to cautious so I stick with well known retailers.

I've heard of slip ups.
The reason why you know when that brand has made a slip up is because it's rare and very public once it happens ONCE.
It's like a celeb doing something wrong, it's quite public because it doesn't happen as often.![]()
Because people are assuming your sd card is dodgy, if you can be bothered to check test it with h2testw and report the results, if you don't want to test it you run the risk of just going round in circles if it is a fake SD cardWhy dafaq are we talking about this??

I'm just going to post this video, many people don't understand how fakes work and just think "oh it worked before so it's my issue" or "well durrrrrr it shows 32gb in windows idiots I'm not stupid!!!1!"
Basically it's nice to rule out possible causes of issues than just keep resetting and running back into it over and over
There is a quicker tool called fake flash testerI've done this before. Since my SD Card is 32gb, it won't analyze all of it. I'll try this again and see if it says its corrupt or whatever.
