Need more info

This is the wrong section, as you mentioned using the Wii port, not Wii U port, if you're using the Wii port, this is not the correct thread.

We don't have info:

Version
Wii or Wii U
What core
Folders being properly installed,

Without that, we can't help

Wiibrew is for Wii only
OOPS - deleting previous thread, as I am using the Retroarch core launcher...

Does this only count for a specific PSX core or won't there be any (smooth running) PSX emulation on the Wii U ever in general?
well considering no one is making any emulator without being retroarch then yes unless someone comes out and does another psx emulator or codes dynarec for retroarchs one.

Okay thanks. Sad to hear. To be honest there's a very small amount of PSX games I really wanted to play but it would have been nice to play them on the Wii U Gamepad.

I agree.
Sadly, Mupen64, Mednafen PSX and Desmume are cores which lack a PPC dynarec to work on the Wii/Wii U.
I would love to play those PSX games I have more than 10 years without playing, and the same goes for N64 games.
DS we already have a pretty good option in VC injection, as DS VC injection is the best so far in terms of compatibility.
But N64 and PSX we really have no way to go (N64 only the selected few which actually work injected, but that's it)

To make things worse, no one is interested in doing so, or even taking the time to write the cores to give them the speed boost. Frankly, I don't even know why they bother compiling the PSX core to be included with the others, just a waste of resources.

Is it normal for Retroarch to take 5 or 10 minutes to load up my full SNES or Mega Drive directory from the SD?

Ah my fault, I forgot to say I use Haxchi.
But are you using the newer one with the built-in CFW? If you don't run a CFW that uses IOSUhax, you won't get the fast libfat speeds.

I have the older Haxchi, but I use it to launch Mocha from my SD card, which enables everything.

The version of Haxchi I have is before CHBC came about :rofl2:

Just updated Haxchi and it still takes a long time to load the directory up :(

It seems I'm not able to save my configuration with the 1.4 release. Is anyone else having this issue? Everything was working fine with a nightly from like a month ago, but now any change I make to the settings doesn't seem to stick after loading the emulator again. I did delete the previous config files to make a fresh install, though.
Same problem here, too. Do the nightlies fix the problem?

There was a major core app issue confirmed by Aliaspider, wanting us to test the latest nightly build to see if that and any other issue has been resolved; mGBA and other cores were broken. Going to confirm if it has indeed been resolved.

Edit: mGBA works again

mGBA is working now in the latest nightly?

@Marko76 are you checking the nightlies to see if TyrQuake has been fixed in any of the newest ones?

The one from 2-1-2017? In the .xml does it list r3dd70df as the version? If so, I am downloading that version source code and retrying the cores I couldn't get to work before.
