I think Snes9X as a core in the main retroarch app has a problem with loading states. When I load a state it just freezes.
Edit: hmm probably because the state in question comes from Snes9X 2010.

So a few problems I've seen then :
- states can't seem to be shared between different cores (e.g. Snes9X and Snes9X 2010) and, dangerously, it seems to overwrite states from different cores when we save with one or the other.
- QuickNES crashes (actuallt everything becomes incredibly slow and input unresponsive) when fast forward is pressed
- I can't seem to map the left (or right for that matters) stick of the Wii U Pro controller to the Analog directional, in inputs with the Retropad w/ analog. Works with the Gamepad though.
-mGBA does DSI

Apart from that it's just pure joy, great job guys !

Do you also observe that ? If yes I'll file appropriate github issues :)

Use Nestopia, QuickNES is horrible.

Snes9x 1.53 mainline is superior to Snes9x 2010 (1.53 and not 1.52, no speed hacks and other anomalies); Nestopia Undead is better than QuickNES, also runs better and is more accurate as well.

Edit: Ninja'd :P But yeah, Snes9x 1.53 is better

I really need to download more of the cores, and start trying to figure out what build of each core is the most stable on the Wii U.

Can you load it as an individual app, i.e., outside of the main RetroArch app? If that doesn't work, then the core is utterly broken for whatever reason :unsure:
If you load it outside the app then it still gives the dsi error so it's safe to say it's fucked

Then something is seriously royally FUBAR with the recent mGBA builds; time to roll back to a version that works until the issue is resolved. I still have a working backup of mGBA if anyone is interested, I can upload it to my Dropbox.

Edit: Ah to hell with it, gonna post the last working build

That still doesn't make sense on why it would crash in RetroArch, but not by itself, someone needs to file a GitHub report, no?
I deleted the old folder but it does not work if I put the gba separately it works super well, not all in one of the black screen when I open the ron followed by the error dsi
