What is the behavior of a flashcard after a brick?
I used a R4i3D 2012 a couple weeks ago with TWLoader, and after launching it and beeing greeted by a white screen, my 3DS stopped recognizing the flashcard. It doesn't even appear at all at the home menu, but I realized the music of my 3DS theme would skip for a brief moment when I put the card in my 3DS.

Could you share this tool?

What is the behavior of a flashcard after a brick?

I have the same problem as you. No icon, white screen when I launch YSMenu (I launch directly), nds no recognize the flashcard and sometimes (1 over 30?) a strange icon appear but nothing more

with more and more people reporting bricked flashcard's I think it's time we add a bigger warning, a list of known bricked cards and try to figure out what's causing it

Card bricking is usually do to crap cards that self-brick when they think clone software is being used on them. YSMenu seems to be the #1 cause? Not sure. Either way, crap clone cards may brick. But for most other cards, it should be safe to boot them on 3DS.

you have to be able to run the tool to flash the fix,
you can also try flashing the original firmware.

I want to try that but i can't find a backup of my firmware anywhere on the internet

aha so what you are saying is cards have built-in self destruct and it has nothing to do with ysmenu. that means it would take a per-card patch to prevent the self destruct from activating, meh.

No, I haven't other flashcard. Also, using hb nds launcher I tried to install back the firmware but always get stuck on "erasing device" so, I guess (at least) my R4 hardware is dead

my card is 7-9 years old and i'm not looking for a new one.

mine is an Acekard/r4 hybrid
said to be a non clone made by some of the original devs
