This is a thing now, apparently. Compatibility is still low.

RPCS3 - rpcs3.net
ESX - esxemulator.com

My system is:
i4570 (3.2 GHz "Haswell") & GTX 770

I tried Project DIVA F US version last night with RPCS3 and it did work, but I was getting 15 fps average which isn't enough to enjoy the game. Others with similar specs got better results - the 30 fps the game is programmed to run at - and I have no idea why. I think maybe more development is needed. For my very basic troubleshooting attempt, I opened resource monitor and saw CPU running at max boost clock (3.45 GHz) but utilization around 45% on all cores and the system still responsive while it was running. So maybe it's CPU limited, I don't know. GTX 770 is a bit of a rare card and it didn't work with RPCS3's "Vulkan" rendered, which others used to get better fps.

I will give ESX a try tonight.

for good ps3 emulation I dont think we have processors fast enough just yet. The 770 is not a rare card at all, but Im not sure how much support for vulkan it has.

Please remove that mention to ESX, it's malware.

RPCS3 and Nucleus (and Short Waves) are still the only legit PS3 emulators as of today.
