Hacking Change decrypt9 game directory

I used to build cia files from .3ds using decrypt9 cia builder. my latest version has changed the game directory to "files9" folder and I wish to still use the D9Game folder. how can I change the game directory to D9Game.

You could make a fork of Decrypt9WIP, do a search and replace for files9 to D9Game, then compile it.

Or you could just use an old version.

I have tried copying a luma folder with payload folder containing decryp9.bin and god mode as well as hourglass which works the way I want on another 3ds but when I put the sd card I wish to act the same in to my other 3ds the directory still comes up files9 folder. Obviously the file I want isn't in the pay loads folder, do you know where the file I want would be located on the sd card which is using the F9game directory? Is the file I need stored on the root of the sd card and is it called Decrypt9WIP.dat

Maybe your other 3DS has an older Luma version. What is actually in the luma payloads folder? Does it have start_Decrypt9.bin or similar, or does it have something like default.bin and left.bin etc?
Try copying the arm9loaderhax.bin from your old 3DS to your new one as well.

Or, you can go to https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases and find a really old version to use.

Ok cool thanks for your suggestions I will try them. The version I have on the "other 3ds" which works as I want is still not that old but yes in that payloads folder I have Start_Hourglass up_godmode and Left_Decryptwip as is the case with the one which is not behaving as I want as I copied the payload folder to it

Did you delete the previous payloads folder before copying the new one in? Maybe you didn't tell it to overwrite

Ok cool thanks for your suggestions I will try them. Why would you want this anyway? Files9 is just a combination of the previous required folders /Decrypt9 and /D9Game. Why not just use solely /Files9 and save yourself the trouble?

If the issue is that your /Files9 folder has tons of other files then the fix isn't in Decrypt9 but the fix is to clean it up. Clean slating /Files9 you only really need to have aeskeysdb.bin in there. Generate a SeedDB.bin file through D9 (or download it from that key site) and put it in as well if you so desire to.
