Homebrew PKSM giving "Failed to recieve a status code"

So I just homebrewed my friends 11.2 2ds by softmodding it using sound hax but every time we try to open this release of pksm it gives us this error "Failed to recieve status code"it dosent have cfw and is stock and heres the release https://github.com/BernardoGiordano/PKSM/releases thanks for the help in advance.

Forget about it we figured it out we needed internet acess.

Hey, I have this same problem.
I'm using the new 3ds xl and it keeps giving me the same message (even though I am connected to wifi).
Once I press "A" enough times, I have to restart the app.
(I downloaded the app via QR code)


EDIT:
I put the SD card in my computer and found the problem.

The "additional assets" folder was empty. So I downloaded it (from the link in the "readme" file) and placed it in the correct place.

Everything worked fine after that

Oh I don't think so.
I downloaded the app via QR code.

I'll try downloading it through the SD card in my computer and get back to you
