So, I have been backing up physical games on my PC & 3DS using FBI and I have always had this feeling in the back of my head questioning "Wait would this get me banned?"

I ignored it and continued doing so becuase the 3DS may no longer be supported by Nintendo (becuase of the Switch.) But incase that does happen I would like to be prepared.

I was watching YT Guides, and reading guides on GBATemp about console bans and NNID Bans, and they seem pretty easy to bypass, its just one question has gotten me confused about which guide to trust and specifically follow.

Some people say you need two 3DS's becuase you need to replace your friend code in order to get unbanned, but alternatively some people don't replace their friend code and do everything with Decrypt9 & a PC.

Is there a guide that's up to date as of 2017 I could follow if I do get banned for backing up my games, I feel that I would becuase its effecting the Eshop "recent downloads" (Its not effecting redownloadable software.)

....You can't get banned by using backed up games lol

Those bans are for people that get a Miiverse ban, Cheat on a online game, or used a Sky3DS without a Private header(or played Pokemon SuMo before released)

No other kind of bans have been reported, and .Cias can't get you banned so :P

Jsyk, as long as you don't play games before the official release, don't use hacks or cheats online, it's pretty hard to get banned.
If you don't do either of those things, you'll be fine for a while.
And running backups alone (except if you use gateway iirc cause of header bshit) won't get you banned.

Yeah, you really only have to worry about bans with leaked games or flashcarts. If you're using A9LH + Freeshop or something similar, Nintendo has no way to know you're not legit.
