Yes, there is an internet web icon on the lower left.
That's a LANGUAGE icon not internet browser...Yes, there is an internet web icon on the lower left.
blocking said updates would be no diffrent then what we do now though. nintendo apps have to call home before it can block you because of an outdated browserThat's a LANGUAGE icon not internet browser...
Anyways, the UI looks horrible and plain, doesn't say Nintendo at all.. and no web browser? WTF, what about youtube? Twitch, Netflix and Hulo and all the streaming apps? my guessing is that all of them including the WEB BROWSER are going to be separated apps available on the eShop, that's better for Nintendo because if you hackers/developers exploit the console thru the browser Nintendo wont need to update the whole system, but just the web browser app on the eShop and force the others to update it in order to keep using the app.. they will update the browser app everytime you guys break it xD its just gonna be easier for them to block exploits...
That being said, yes I think there will be a web browser, but is gonna be a standalone app, not integrated to the system.
Cant wait to see more of the UI and the changes it will face day 1.
System update and app update are not the same, blocking the DNS wont work lol xD IS NOT LIKE the app will update itself, but you wont be able to use it until you update it.blocking said updates would be no diffrent then what we do now though. nintendo apps have to call home before it can block you because of an outdated browser
*proceeds to block their update servers like we do on wiiu/3ds*
thats not what i mean, i mean you can block it anyway, because to check for an update, they MUST connect to a specific url.System update and app update are not the same, blocking the DNS wont work lol xD IS NOT LIKE the app will update itself, but you wont be able to use it until you update it.
Mmmh where ?
I bet the system is gonna know anyways you are using an outdated version of the app... somehow.thats not what i mean, i mean you can block it anyway, because to check for an update, they MUST connect to a specific url.
block url, and mission accomplished.
edit:
dns wouldnt, yes, but we block specific urls on our routers
well, it cant exactly tell, it cant connect to the server to verify that it actually is, even if it feels like it isI bet the system is gonna know anyways you are using an outdated version of the app... somehow.
Given that it's using a different manufacturer for processing and graphics, I don't believe it's using the same architecture as the 3DS.wouldnt be surprised if it gets hacked easily though. from what i was told, it used some of the same architecture as 3ds, which took just about a year and 9 months to hack
makes sense.Given that it's using a different manufacturer for processing and graphics, I don't believe it's using the same architecture as the 3DS.
It most likely is. The future is here, flat is amazingly good looking and popular. Deal with it.I have a feeling this isn't the final UI. And if it is...well let's just say, that's not good.
The Nintendo Switch is not going to get homebrew.Hope we can with homebrew change the theme to a custom theme
Why not? there's going to be a subscription service so.... somebody needs to figure out how to break it unless the switch runs on a modified version of androidThe Nintendo Switch is not going to get homebrew.
