Hacking NNID question

Everything I found on this is old so I just wanted to be certain.
Any possible harm/interference from setting up a NNID, particularly thinking of the freeshop?
Also for the future i used 3ds.guide to set my console up, what would I say my 3ds is running on (i know luma is involved but am i really on cfw? I'm not using an emunand am I?) thanks.

If your on a9lh, yes you have cfw. Which one you have is up to you, with luma being the best choice for an average user such as yourself.
Nnid is independent of free shop and even regular eshop, and does not affect freeshop in any way meaning your safe. so no bans, temp bans, arrests, thermonuclear warfare, etc
