Hacking 2DS not booting w/o sd-card

Okay, I had Cakes on my 2DS for the longest then switched to menuhax but it wouldn't boot up without the sd card and still doesn't. I'm trying to update it to a9lh + luma3ds. So how do I get it to boot without sd card and what's the best way to update to a9lh + luma3ds?

Then you just keep going with the guide. You only need to delete them if you have them.

ignore it. if u don't have the folder/file(s), u can simply go on to the next step. a9lh v4 is sd cardless.

If you're following https://3ds.guide/, you always get lastest version of everything you need.
At the time you're update/install A9LH though.

Just delete all of them and redownload again to make sure you get the lastest one that need.

confused in what way? the reason for one of ur earlier queries is that the reason it has u delete certain files/folders is that u don't want to mix and match files or the system could brick. it's pretty easy to update though. u can't mix and match files either since it has u delete files/folders once ur done and before u start.

Taking the SD card out, booting while holding select.
If it's take you to Luma3DS config, it's done.

Did you already copy arm9loaderhax.bin to CTRNAND partition?

I think so. Also, does the ninjahax2 homemenu roppin still work? I might have to do soundhax

iirc, u remove the sd card to enter luma's settings during the update guide, so u should be good. u can check if a9lh is installed to ctrNAND by entering FBI.

@godreborn knowing my luck, I don't actually have A9LH installed but menuhax...lol
