Did you install "TWLNAND - TWLNAND side.cia" to the NAND destination in SysNAND and EmuNAND?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can you launch any DSiWare or DS Download Play (outside TWLoader, of course)?

I tried opening the original Download pLay in 3DS and open the DS download play but the same thing, it just gave me black screen and my 3ds froze. Is there something wrong with my unit?

TWLoader v2.3.1

Additions:
  • Message box.
  • Logging.
Improvements/Bugfixes:
  • Box art for other regions are now download.
  • Banner data is now cached when first read from .nds files. Should fix crashing bug.
  • TWLoader will now update when there's a latest version available.

Files changed:
  • sdroot/_nds/twloader/cia/TWLoader/TWLNAND side.cia

I will try this one and will let you know if this will work. Thanks.
Or if this doesn't work, try the steps at 3ds.guide.

BTW, ever since I updated to newest release, got a "system will restart" message. With errdisp enabled, here are my logs

This still happens in the latest version

not that much has been made, Blue rescue team never makes it to press start/New game screen, Explorer of Sky gets to new game screen but when its to start w/ teh questionare screen, it black screens, and the mainstream games still whitescreen.

that sucks, i'll wait a bit longer then

I wouldn't expect those to work for quite a while. SM64, the definitive testing game, still has issues. Expecting anything "Pokemon" right now is just going to lead to disappointment.

i don't have many NDS games on interest right now, but i also assume that spirit tracks/phantom hourglass are also broken?

Most likely. The bootstrap thread has a compatibility list, and there's only a small handful of games that really work regardless of condition, and they're not quite AAA titles (even SM64 requires a high speed SD to work).

Figured I'd push for a request I made on GitHub here as well so to get some peer reactions on the idea. Original GitHub Request.

So to sum this up:
Request to the devs to follow up on the restructure
Request to the community, you guys, to express some thoughts on it.

[Future Requests] Two small folder restructures
  1. Do not make TWLoader create the _dsttfwd and _dstwofwd folders automatically as empty folders. Many people in the community care about an as clean as possible SD card, especially root. Having a tool consistently create two empty folders that otherwise completely useless to them is very frustrating. I'm saying they are useless to them because they are only useful to the people that has either dstwo or dstt and then even if someone has either of those they likely do not have the other. If you insist these folders have to stay please move them inside /_nds at least.

  2. Have /roms be in /_nds. While I can see there are a handful of people who already had a roms folder for emulator and such, considering the extreme bulk blindly follows plailect's guide they are likely to not have it. (not to mention that emulators are basically deprecated due to VC injection)

  3. As later stated by NinjaBoyLao on GitHub another option is:
Even better: leave all 4 folders as their own separate entities, just shove them all inside /TWLoader. Many apps can't seem to agree which folder to use, /3ds/data/ or /AppName, so just go with the majority here

As "semi" dev and final user, I like this idea.I can move those folder to another location.
Idea #2, in my opinion, I like to have roms in root. But just mi opinion, you know. But if community and @Robz8 don't mind, maybe we can change it location.

Edit: I'll upload a PR soon
Edit2: https://github.com/Robz8/TWLoader/pull/53

An option to move the roms folder would be nice.
In my case SD:\!roms\DS

I use a '!' to make it appear at the top of lists.
