So, i've been folowing the guide, as i said, and i know that i have to follow it exactly ( why else would they write it like that) So im in section 4 part 4, where i am to use Hourglass9 and reboot into the nand etc.

So this is where my problem comes into play, H9 won't actually work, and i have tried EVERYTHING to get it work, below is a list of what i tried.

1. I tried simply renaming it ( i.e. Up_Hourglass9.bin)
2. Deleted config.bin and ext home menu data
3. Redownloaded the most recent h9 files from github
4. Renamed it to arm9loaderhax.bin ( i did back up my old one, thankfully.

I pretty stumped as to what the problem could be honestly, Is there anyone huge problem if i just reinstall a9lh and re go through all the steps? Any advice would be helpful!

btw, as a side note, when i do hold down start, it simply hangs for a while, and boots into the actual home page.

Is your folder structure on the SD card SD://luma/payloads/start_HourGlass9.bin ?

A few days ago we had someone start a thread saying their 3DS wouldn't boot either, and their payloads folder was names as 'playloads'.... Might pay to just double check one more time :P

So, basically, i put h9 in the luma/payload folder and renamed it accordingly. Now, according to the guide, im suppose to hold start before powering on ( which i did) and then boot it, so i did, and the screen is initially black, then the backlight turns ons, it hangs for a second, and then boots into the home menu.

doesn't the button you have to hold correspond with the filename? (i.e. hold up if the file is up_Hourglass9.bin and start if it's start_Hourglass9.bin)

edit: welp, looks like you've solved the problem and i need to work on my reading comprehension
