Hacking Stuck on black screen with "Failed to mount CTRNAND"...

Hello everyone. Long story short, I am selling this console and the buyer asked if I could use 3DSident to verify the screens. He has bought the console but has yet to pay because he wants to make sure they are indeed IPS. I knew it was a 3DS hack, but I knew nothing about it. I tried to do my best as a seller and said I would do it if he could teach me, so that I can reassure him that it is indeed what I stated. Little did I know, it was this much work and very very confusing....I have absolute no knowledge but he said it was fairly simple and I followed the link he provided. I am completely new to this and am currently stuck in the process. Everything was going quite well until I was starting to install arm9loaderhax. While I was starting on Section II in the guide, I went to the browser and suddenly my console just basically "skipped" the whole process and went to Section III - Configuring Luma3DS. I asked the buyer and I guess he thought everything was going right, so I followed the steps and marked what I wanted and now I am stuck at the oh so loving. "An error has occurred: Failed to mount CTRNAND" and when I click any buttons, it just shuts off and doesn't reboot.

So basically I don't know what to do since the buyer went to sleep and I'm stressing and worried that I might just have messed this console up.

I'm pretty sure the buyer won't bail on me but I just want to feel reassured since there's not much he can do and I'd rather have more people's opinions to help get me going.

Also, you didn't need to install a9lh. You can just run 3DSident from the homebrew launcher (using soundhax as entrypoint).

Yes that is what I tried since the guide also said to just continue, but it won't reboot like it should. I tried but it just goes back to the same screen and that's freaking me out. It's basically "stuck" at that screen no matter if I press any button, it will go back. I have been doing my best to "hack" this 3DS since 6pm and it's already 12:30am..still at lost T_T

• Check your luma/payloads folder to make sure you didn't misspell it
• Redownload Hourglass9 in case it was corrupted
• Try a new SD card

well.....I guess that is too late for me now? Is there anyway I can restore it back to it's original non-hack state? I don't want to risk doing anything if I might "mess it up" since he said he hacked one last night and was fairly easy. I've provided pictures and all that but he had a bad experience so wanted me to use the 3DSident.

I have used the F3X that was provided on the site and it shows that the SD card is in good shape, so thank goodness!

I have a feeling that it is messed up from the process of installing arm9loaderhax. Whole process was basically skipped except for entering the url/link since I didn't have any options to "full install" because it just disappeared to Luma3DS.

Now you can restore your NAND backup and continue with the guide.

Off topic: you shoud charge him more for doing extra job on the console (most people dont softmod for free)

I'm sorry for being really stupid right now, but I don't think I have backup...... I don't even know what any of these words mean and which one I'm suppose to press (SysNAND Backup/Restore, EmuNAND Backup/Restore)?

What's in the "files9" folder?

sysnand -> sysnand backup (keep a9lh) and select either sysnand.bin or sysnandmin.bin

Besides how much extra is that anyways xD

Oh and it just got done rebooting and I am actually in the home screen right now! Is there anything I should do?
Do I continue on with the hack or is there any way for me to use the 3DSident?

Continue the guide until you install a bunch of cias, after that you can boot homebrew launcher and grom there 3DSident
