I have another super noob question. Where is the best place for me to go to learn about this stuff? Like now that I have this (I guess SoftMod 2ds) what can I do with it, is there any real perks of this, do I have to run anything after reboot, etc, etc. I have a lot of questions on this stuff since I was never really into this scene until about a month ago and didn't get super into it until just this past like week so I have almost no knowledge on this stuff. Thanks for any and all help! I just didn't know where else to ask for a good direction to be going.

You can pirate games, play translations, emulate games, use a custom theme.

This is the best place to learn about this stuff, but reddit.com/r/3dshacks/ probably has info that's all in one place/noob friendly

After Step 26, FBI does not boot up / Show up (Is It a New Icon?). Does it Matter that the Health & Saftey information is in a folder or not?

Thanks so much for all the links! It helps out a ton! I just bought a n3ds on ebay for a decent price so hopefully that comes in soon so I can try this tutorial and then work on getting NTR Streaming set up. Maybe after reading these links I can use it for other cool things as well.

Awesome! Most places (especially posts like that on reddit) are never answered because no one ever visits them. It feels like just a way to keep noob questions from popping up in the main feed of the place. I will definitely give that link a go then once I get my n3ds and start trying out stuff. Thanks for all your help! I have successfully got fresh. Tried to get my nintendogs but there was only a USA (my ds is EUR). It downloaded but when I tried to play it crashes. Is this due to the region or something else?

Use HANS (that will enable the option to play games from other Regions)

HANS is more or less like a custom game patcher

It's a homebrew that lets you apply patches to your games. It's got nothing to do with your problem.

Installing Luma makes your 3ds region free. Something else is wrong.

I followed this guide to get FBI etc and yes I am on 11.2. I downloaded it in free shop. It opens the game but it crashes during the loading.

Is it a new 3ds? If it is try turning off Clock+L2.

If not, I have no idea what's wrong.
