I'm on 11.2.35, I have access to homebrew, my question is, is it possible to block updates and such but still access the eshop? The current WiiU methods don't work on 3DS...
Irrelevant to what he asked. He's on 11.2.0 so ctr-httpwn will only be useful to him when an 11.3.0/12.0.0 update is released.Cttrpwn lets you access online features without updating
To my knowledge there is no way to access the eShop if you're using DNS settings that block updates. Just either switch the DNS on/off when you want to access the eShop, or just don't bother with blocking updates and just be vigilant; the 3DS will never update unless you tell it to.I'm on 11.2.35, I have access to homebrew, my question is, is it possible to block updates and such but still access the eshop? I don't know what DNS is used nowadays to block 3DS updates; just Google around and you'll find one. But, to be honest, there's no reason to bother with blocking updates like that. As I said, the 3DS will only update if you ask it to. If you're blocking updates with a DNS and you softbrick, you may not be able to recover, and you won't be able to access the eShop (or maybe not even other online features) while the DNS settings are active.I could not get the DNS to work, so I've just left wifi off, maybe I was reading something outdated? Can you link to the current setup.. I figured there won't be an update for a while, but in the mean time until I get hard mod, I don't want to risk anything..
