Hi, I successfully accessed Homebrew through Soundhax. I'm using an old 3DS on 11.2.0-35 U.

My questions as follows are: - Do I have to run a secondary exploit? If so, what are the benefits?
- If the answer is yes, does oot3dhax support my fw? (And if it matters, I have a digital copy.)
- Finally, in order to use mods for Smash, I'd need Luma CFW, and Salty SD right? And for that I would have to downgrade?

Please answer ASAP, thanks.

A secondary exploit is a way to access homebrew based on "Second devices"
For instance:
OOTHAX is a Secondary exploit, because to access to the Homebrew you need Ocarina Of Time every single time.
Supposedly, OOTHAX is possible in any Firmware, because the Hax is runned by the game itself, unless Nintendo managed to patch that error in post 10.3 firmwares.

I highly sugegst you to follow plailect's guide, in that way you'll have Homebrew Launcher in your home menu, which gives you permanent access to homebrew.
To have a CFW you must have Homebrew Installed. So if you're going for that, most likely you'll HAVE to make Plailect's guide.

Yes, you need CFW to make changes in games... i think it depends... not quite sure....

I don't use mods for my games, because I don't need to, so I can't give you an exact answer on that.

No....... It is a secondary exploit because you need homebrew already to be able to install the exploited save game. Ninjhax, browserhax, etc are primary because you can use Cubic Ninja, the web browser etc on their own without needing anything else.

I thought Ocarina of Time 3D is a primary since all you would need with it is a powersaves. Not nessesarily another modded 3ds.

OK MY BAD. Sorry.
I thought that it was secondary because you need it in order to access to Homebrew.

I mean, seriously, if you have Homebrew Already, why the need of a secondary exploit that uses homebrew in order to acces homebrew?

No, regardless of how you install the exploit, it's still a secondary exploit as it still requires something extra to install it.

To give Homebrew access to a friend if they have the game? Which shouldn't have to happen anymore with soundhax.

Wow, I feel like a total noob while you all are chatting. Anyways, I can't find plailect's oot3dhax guide. (I suck at finding things in real life too), with this exploit, homebrew will appear in the home screen, right? Or do I not need to do this? Along with those questions, after I install oot3dhax, can I install A9LH, and then Luma? Or would I have to downgrade? (Which I don't believe is possible with soundhax atm).

Thanks - The Noob.

Installing the exploit to OoT just gives you another way to get into homebrew, you don't get any extra benefit. To downgrade you need a second hacked console. You'll find this information in 3ds.guide.
