Hi, guys, I've been searching everywhere for days with no luck. I'm trying to play Gamecube games through ubsloadergx and all the tutorials online say I need to tell usbloadergx where nintendont is installed. They say go to loader options but there's nothing there that I can change to see nintendont, I've tried to change all the options. I don't have nintendont installed as a channel, I didn't even go through any sort of install process I just copied it onto the apps folder and run it through homebrew. That works just fine, but i want to use ubsloadergx.
Previously, I was able to run Gamecube games through usbloadergx but as soon as I clicked "DML NMM" I always get a popup that says "This game is on USB, do you want to copy it to SD or uninstall and SD game?" Even when I turn no more memory cards off, it still does this popup, and since I don't want to copy to the sd card, I can't play the games. nintendont still works fine. I even reset usbloader to default settings and I still get the popup after only telling usbloader to see GC games and change the main GC path, no other options. It may be worth mentioning that I only have nitendont installed, nothu=ing else like it, no dos mios lite which is what I assume DML stands for.
The image attached is from youtube tutorial in a different language that seems to do exactly what I do, but they have a "--=Nintendont=--" header with sub options that I don't have. Does that mean it doesn't see nintendont? if sho how was a previously able to play games through usbloader? Any help is appreciated. I cant find any tutorials that show how to change the loader to nintendont and I feel like a total idiot. I have no idea what im doing wrong, everyone else seems to be bale to play from usb with almost no setup at all.

Im using the latest version of usbloadergx. From this forum, it tells me to change the "Gamecube mode" under loader settings, and option i dont have.

Try to change gc settings in loader settings in usbloader gx, from dios to nintendont.
And make sure you change "main gc path" to usb 0 or 1 :)
Hope that helps

i dont have any options like that. in loader settings i only have:
Video mode
vidtv patch
sneek video patch
aspect ratio
game language
patch country strings
ocariana
boot/standard
quick boot
error 002 fix
block ios reload
return to
nand saves emulation
nand chan. emulation
hooktype
wiird debugger
debugger paused start
channel launcher
gc force interlace
dml nmm mode
dml led activity
del pad hook
dml no disc dml debug

I have tried changing all of these options and none of them refer to mios or nintendont at all. i am so confused because everyone keeps saying to do that but i dont have any options like that.

My main path is set to the usb, i can view the games just fine, download covers for them, change their settings, i just cant play them. I dont know where the stupid "This game is on usb" pop came from or why its there but i cant get past it. and theres no nintedntont settings which worries me, but somehow i was able to play previously? Color me 1000% confused. Im a work in IT, im a very tech savvy guy, why it this so hard???

The picture is form something i found online which shows vastly different options than my wii does., my main paint is set to usb1:/games. i can see all my games in the loader

I think your usbloader is outdated, i installed all yesterday, and all a had to change is the loader settings from dios to nintendont.... USB shoud be fat 32 and 32 kb clutcher, and games go : usb1/games/zelda/game.iso

v3.0 rev 65535. if i go to update in the settings, it says no update available.

Soemthing else worth mentioning, i tried to install super monkey ball on the sd to see if that would let me play, after all thats what usbloader is telling me to do. so i copied it over through usbloader one the popup that says "this game is on usb" and im sure it said it copied super moneky ball. when i clicked on supermonkey ball it started running need for speed, which is currently in my disc drive. I removed teh NFS disc and clicked on super monkey ball again, it spun the disc drive, and kicked me back out to the wii menu. things are just getting more and more confusing.

additionally, why do i have to wait 300s to post another response?

I'm not so sure about that to be quite honest; might be useful to get @Cyan in here? Or post in the USBLGX thread here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx.149922/

Additionally, it might be worth to try a fresh install; the latest version is v3.0 r1260. The built-in updater doesn't work properly, you'll need to do the update manually:

If you are using a revision older than r1257, you need to update USBLoaderGX manually.

v3.0 rev 65535.
This version does NOT exist.

there is a revision 3.0 r1280 (the old first release of "3.0")
there is a revision 3.0c (the old, full channel, not maintained anymore), if you have this, you can replace it by following this guide.

You need revision 3.0 r1262.
if you try downloading an update from the loader's menu from an old version of the loader, it will not work because google has shutdown the website where new version were stored.
you need to install the latest version manually. you can find a link in my signature.
Updating from the loader now work fine again (but there will not be a lot of new updates)

You don't need to "tell USBLoaderGX where is located nintendont".
by default, it will look in "SD:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol"
if you place the nintendont's boot.dol in another folder (USB:/apps/ for example) then you can change the path here:
Settings > User path > Nintendont loader

I'm having the same issues as the OP. I downloaded the newest usbloader gx and I dont have the setting to point it to nintendont. I have cios 52 installed on 56 and 57, 249 and 250. Not sure if I am missing something?

to play nintendont, you need IOS58 (no cIOS at all, not even 249 or 250).
don't update/replace/install IOS58, you already have it.

If you don't have the necessary menu in your USB Loader, it means you are not using the correct version.
"newest" is NOT the newest, but YOUR newest.
There are 4 different "newest" based on the version you are using. (different branches, etc.)

Always provide the version number of the application you want help with.
Go to settings > credits > look at the top, and report all you see there.

Thanks for the info Cyan. I think I found the issue. I believe the forwarder was older then the usbloader gx app. When I launched through the forwarder the setting were gone and when I launched through homebrew they were there. I'm going to see if I can get this working today. Thanks for your help!

I know (I already knew it was that, but I wanted that you find the issue by checking the credit page)
it's because you don't have a forwarder, but a full channel.

replace your full channel (outdated) with a forwarder channel to always launch the dol located on your SD.
https://gbatemp.net/posts/6478222

newest :
Newest fullpack official release : 3.0 revision 1180
Newest full channel : 3.0c revision 1180
newest updatable version on google : I don't remember, but it's between 3.0 and now.

everything above is outdated.
newest updated release inside the loader : 1262 (I forgot to bump to 1268)
newest official release on sourceforge : r1268
newest beta release : 1269 mod3

they are all newest or latest ;)
