I have a really crappy toshiba right now, it came with Windows 7 and I downgraded it to XP. Now my question is should I get W10? Do you guys think it would be worth upgrading, or would programs run good?

I'd say stick with Windows 7. Windows 10 is nice but with your specs you're better off sticking with the OS it came with unless you upgrade the RAM but that's an expense to an outdated laptop...

I'm just going to Kingy this, and say why the hack did you downgrade to Windows XP? Like what Dark said, you're better off with Windows 7, as Windows 10 wouldn't be the best idea for you...

I only downgraded to Windows XP because at the time programs I needed didn't work on 7, but that is no longer the case.

Yes but the biggest issue with newer OS's is driver support. Chance is you'll be using vista drivers on Windows 10 and compatibility will suffer.

Windows 10 on a computer with similar specs but newer would benefit the best.

If you want to install windows 10 do a clean install or you may have many issues.First, you need more ram. Or you cannot use apps like bluestacks, steam. You can use it, but you will have many problems, Your start will not open,If it opens it takes minutes. If you do not use ram eating softwares and want it only for web browsing, music etc. You can use win 10.
