So I followed Plailects guide, which I always do when downgrading new3ds'. But I messed up. Somehow I forgot to run the steelhax installer before system transferring, so thus the game is launching as normal. (This is after I used the LoE DSIWare game to soft downgrade it to get into homebrew).

I googled, and searched, and looked through the faq, but didn't see anything that quite fit my situation exactly. How am I supposed to get into homebrew now, being on 11.2, in order to finish the downgrade? Thanks in advance.

Thats what I figured. Know by any chance what the cheapest one on the shop is?
Freakyforms, Cubic Ninja, and OoT+Powersaves (technically this is a secondary exploiit but w/e) are literally your only primary exploit options for now. Just look at their prices and decide from there.

Okay thank you very much. Didn't mean to make you have to google things for me, heh. Some people just know these things off the top of their head. Have a good night :)

Or buy an old blue switch sky3ds.
I have a gateway, that wouldn't work, would it?

Ugh, forgot Freakyforms and Cubic Ninja got taken off store. OoT it is I guess.

One more thing, is there a guide that shows how to do the OoT digital version? All I see are guides for ones with the Powerhax dongle or whatever that is they say you need to buy.
You'll need to purchase a cartridge of OoT3D as well as a Powersaves device, you won't be able to use a digital copy of OoT. Either that, or a cartridge of either Cubic Ninja or Freakyforms Deluxe, whichever's cheapest.

No, there are no guides because of a couple of reasons:
A) To install the exploit, you already need to have access to the Homebrew Launcher.
B) The oothax installer that's in the Homebrew Launcher does not work on 11.0+ unless you have CFW because A) Nintendo added randomization to OoT in the 11.0 update rendering the exploit almost useless and B) the oothax installer has not been updated to work with 11.0+.

You will need a physical version and a Powersaves device.

Well damn, I just bought the shop version because https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Exploits said it worked with firmwares up to 11.2 :(

Yeah, that needs to be updated to show basically what I said earlier.
Grr, that was $20 I needed for Christmas time. haha. Lameeee.

Do you know if I do get a physical OoT and the Powersave if it will work for sure? Or am I better off waiting for another method...Not quite sure what to do now. :P

I can confirm physical OoT is work since I use it to Downgrade my friend 3DS to 9.2 after DSihax her NFIRM.
Although I install it using my another CFW 3DS intead of PowerSave.

I can also confirm that OoT hack and BaseHax (Pokemon OR/AS+1.4 update) works on 11.2 to open Homebrew Launcher. I own a PowerSaves and both cartridges. I found BaseHax much more reliable though, and use that. OoT is very finicky and seems to have a low percentage of success loading HB Launcher, at least for me.

So what would be your recommended path to access HL. Picking up OR/AS?

Yeah, as cheap as you can. I also bought PowerSaves from Amazon, but I think either ordering it directly from code junkies or finding it in a store is cheaper. I paid $25 for mine with 2 day shipping.

ORAS cartrdges have per-cart encryption, meaning that Powersaves are only able to inject save images that have been backed up from the same cartridge that you're injecting to. Hence you cannot install basehaxx 'as a primary' with Powersaves. Buy OoT3D instead.

Source: this and this.

But if I got basehaxx on my old3ds I could alter the cartridge in whatever way that works for OR/AS and then slide it into my new one and that would be all I need, correct?
