Homebrew DSiWareHax Format Question

So Plailects Guide says:

"All variations of sysUpdater, not just sysDowngrader, have a very small chance of causing a “soft brick” once the downgrade is complete and the device reboots. This will cause the system to boot directly to the Nintendo error screen instructing users to power off the device.

The reason for this is unknown, but can be prevented by performing a system format before downgrading. It seems to happen very often on systems with ambassador status or who have DSiWare installed.

Once this error happens, it can only be fixed by using recovery mode (boot holding A + R + L + Up on the D-Pad) to update to the latest system version.

As of the time this is written, the latest version (11.2.0) has completely blocked all software downgrading, and if someone encounters this error they will be locked out of any further downgrading unless they downgrade their NFIRM."

So I have two (maybe noobish) questions, so the 1st one: I am gonna format the source 3ds so that I can create a new nnid and then do the dsiware stuff and I am also gonna normaly format the target 3ds to remove its nnid, so my first question is, can I safely format the source 3ds via system Settings without loosing A9LH or should I better use tinyformat?

The 2nd one: So as quoted above, can I safely format the target system after the NFIRM Downgrade to prevent a soft brick? Cause I don´t see any way how formatting will restore the NFIRM so will this work? Better system Settings or Tinyformat?

Btw this may sound like I am a noob, No I am not, I have A9LHed two Consoles so far (the first one when nothing was stable and safe) but this is the first DSiWare Downgrade so I won´t risk any sort of brick, well I wan´t to prevent it as much as possible.

You should be fine for both. Definitely the first one, and im pretty sure the second.

okay so both with tinyformat, source tinyformat and target after nfirm downgrade tinyformat then regular downgrade?

System format just deletes settings stored in the NAND, and it erases the user ID content in the Nintendo 3DS folder. Once you do the system transfer, you should be able to re-link your other NNID to the source system and restore your NAND from a backup pre-format, which would let you use your original profile again.

I already know that what I asked, that on the target system after the nfirm downgrade, I can format it without that the nfirm gets restored, what I don´t think is the case so I can format after nfirm downgrade and then just downgrade normally?!

Okay last Time I say this: so Source = Tinyformat, Target Regular Format, NFIRM Downgrade, Regular Format, Downgrade, A9LH?!!!

So its just, that I want to be completely sure, thats my 3rd A9LH Installation and my 1st DSiWare Downgrade

Yes, that will work. You can still format any time even after you do a9lh to the same effect. I'm not entirely sure why you're trying to format immediately.

no it says that dsiware installed leads to bricks during downgrade so i´d better do a regular format after I have downgraded the nfirm so that it won´t brick or something

The system is already formatted during a system transfer process, so if you're doing a source/target maneuver, I can assume you've done, or are doing a system transfer?

No it says "systems with dsiWare installed" and There is dsiware to launch dgtool and downgrade the native firm, so I just wanted to make sure that the firm stays downgraded after formatting

It's possible for certain DSiWare, though I've done so with multiple DSiWare titles installed, and the downgrade runs correctly. When running the downgrader, if the downgrade isn't "complete", you'll still be able to run the downgrader again to fix it, and if you haven't formatted and are required to do a recovery update, you want the DSiWare title there in order to perform the NFIRM downgrade again if needed.

if it bricks I am not able to redowngrade I would have to make a recovery update

That's where having the dsiware still on your system actually helps, as it is exploited and ready to use. With the system transfer method, it's safer to have updated the target 3DS beforehand, so none of your entry points are affected if you need to do the recovery update.

but he can only use the system-transfered NNID on the new system even when he restores his complete EmuNAND/NAND back to pre-format status, right?

Oh, true, the removed NNID would still be tied to the target 3DS despite being de-linked. You'd have to re-link it and system transfer back, or call Nintendo support to pull it out from limbo.

So just to declare this, when I do the 9.2.0 Downgrade the DSiWare will anyways dissappear, there is just one simple Question I have: After I Downgraded the NFIRM I can Take the SD Card out Format the 3ds put it back in, Launch the HBL and then Downgrade because the NFIRM stays Downgraded right?!

Format with TinyFormat (not system settings) immediately before you downgrade to 9.2 (i.e. after you've installed dsiwarehax and downgraded your NFIRM). Of course your NFIRM will stay downgraded after formatting, why wouldn't it? Just follow the guide.
