Ok, I'm doing slowhax for downgrading my 3DS to 10.4

On Plailect's guide he says:
All variations of sysUpdater, not just sysDowngrader, have a very small chance of causing a “soft brick” once the downgrade is complete and the device reboots. This will cause the system to boot directly to the Nintendo error screen instructing users to power off the device.

The reason for this is unknown, but can be prevented by performing a system format before downgrading. It seems to happen very often on systems with ambassador status or who have DSiWare installed.

Once this error happens, it can only be fixed by using recovery mode (boot holding A + R + L + Up on the D-Pad) to update to the latest system version.

As of the time this is written, the latest version (11.2.0) has completely blocked all software downgrading, and if someone encounters this error they will be locked out of any further downgrading unless they downgrade their NFIRM.

I have DSiWare installed, should I format? I don't want to format :\ But I don't want to softbrick my console too :\

I would, and am going for to format. While you may lose games, you can always re-download them, and backup the saves. Losing games, is, in my opinion, better than having to update to 11.2..

You should get a nand backup from the Dsiware downgrade, so you should be able to format then restore all of your data with Decrypt9 at the end of the guide.

Another problem... Now I can't access HBC :\
You shouldn't have formatted, you should have just taken a NAND backup with dgTool. A soft-brick would at worst force you hand to update to 11.2 after you no longer need to stay on 11.0/11.1. Even then, you could have used dgTool through your DSiWare to restore your NAND and try again.

If you were using steelhax, you just formatted that away and need another entrypoint. If you don't have another entrypoint, you likely need to wait a week and do another transfer of steelhax.
