My NNID is on my New 3DS already, and I know you have to buy a specific DSiware game on previously modded console to be able to modify the native firm. So my question is since I've got an already modded O3DS can I do the transfer and still have my NNID on my N3DS, or will it only accept the newer one made to buy the DSi game?

You can buy DSiware exploit game without NNID except you want to use steelhax as an exploit when data transfered to N3DS.
But, what happend to your current NNID on N3DS is something I don't know, sorry.

So you can perform the DSiWare downgrade then once you've finished following Plailects guide, format system & you'll be able to login to your NNID you originally had on the N3DS but I don't think the DSiWare game will stay.

If he bought a game on N3DS using that NNID, would the game still there after re-login or losing?

I haven't downgraded yet, but the guide says I would be stuck with the source 3DS's NNID on my N3DS, which I'd rather avoid. If I were to buy the game without a NNID and transferred to the N3DS would my NNID still remain on it?

No, your NNID will still get transferred to your o3DS. Your best bet is to do a system transfer without making a new NNID on the device, then calling up Nintendo and asking them to unlink your NNID from the 2DS because you sold it...and put it back on your N3DS.

Don't you mean the other way around? You can't transfer from an N3DS to a 2DS.
He's talking about doing a system transfer from o3DS to n3DS. But his NNID is on his n3DS, so he'll need to call Nintendo once it transfers. You can delink and relink NNID between any system types if it's done thru Nintendo customer service.

If it's the original NNID of the N3DS, he can just format and sign back in with the old ID. He'll only have to call Nintendo if he wants to put the 2DS' NNID back (since he can't transfer back).

I already have an A9LH'd O3DS+NNID and Field Runners and the save exploit injected... But Field Runners has been pulled from the eShop recently, so if I perform the system transfer to my new N3DS, will the DSi game and it's save still transfer over for the downgrade just fine? Or shopuld I buy the other DSiware game just in case/instead?

I did multiple Dsiware downgrade and for what I've seen and did:

before:
Source (NNID1: exploit game (fieldrunner or other)) ----- Target (NNID2 (the one you use))

Exploit!!!!!!

After:
Source (no NNID) ----- Target (NNID1: exploit game & NNID2 (the one you use))

// On the target you can either connect with NNID1 or NNID2, but keep in mind that the exploit game is linked with NNID1

You have 2 solutions if you want to keep NNID2 (the one you use) on target:
  • don't do another system transfert, but you'll "lose" NNID1 with the exploit game.
  • Call Nintendo and ask to move NNID1 back to the Source 3ds.
Voila, hope it help.

ps: tell me if I've made a mistake somewhere, we learn from mistake.

Once you've bought it, you have it forever, so don't worry. It's always available for redownload, just not for buying.

Good, thank you!!! Then I'll be able to downgrade my girlfriend's eventual N3DS' NFIRM later on too. ^_^

I found the report that redownload is unusable. That's why I decide to bought LOE before it meet the same fate.
In EU/Germany Redownload doesn´t work you get an error code and you can hetyou money back for the game if you write to the support

So you're saying it's possible for a 3DS to have multiple NNIDs linked to it's serial?

Not true. I have a Eur 3DS and system transferred while VVVVVV was removed and it transferred fine.

Yes. Every time you format and make a new NNID, or format and do a system transfer (from a console with an NNID) another NNID gets linked to that console on Nintendo's servers.

I'm honestly surprised nobody has made a homebrew NNID switcher (like, a homebrew version of system transfer) without the 7 day waiting period.
